- This watch looks expensive and it comes in a handsome box (which is nice when giving it as a gift). It looked much nicer than the picture on-line, so I was very happy.

Hublot 1810.1.054 wrist watches news:
For the 4th of July, I thought I'd share some pics of the 22j Hamilton 770 manufactured here in the US and regarded as one of the finest movements ever produced in the USA. Some call it the American Patek Philippe. This is from a neglected Bradford that my watchmaker is restoring.
I thought I would post a link to this thread here, as it got zero response on the Accutron forum.Apollo 15 Bulova Moon Watch Up for Auctiona at BonhamsA story buried for over forty years, finally coming to light.A watch buried in a bank vault, shown to the public for the first time.EVER!Apollo-15-Bulova-Chronograph-2-1.jpg
Hi everyone - "new" collector-to-be here. After having several Fossil, Armani, and other very pretty I started out thinking I wanted a new Omega Seamaster or used Rolex Submariner. They are both appealing to me, however I wonder do I really have to spend that much to get something I can proudly hand down to my sons one day - I am 43 now.I don't really care about having an expensive watch - I just want a good automatic movement in a package that will last - with a look that appeals to me.Can this be had in a $750-$1500 watch? So far, I THINK I want a SW500 or ETA 7750 movement based on reputation - though to be honest the date is the only complication I really want - the chronometer would never be used.I want to start with a sport watch for now - maybe get a dress watch later. Some sportys that have caught my eye so far:Sinn 900 Pilot S - love the all-black look and hi-tech features - though 44mm case may be too big for my 6.5 wristInvicta SubAqua Blue IP/Stainless - seems brand has a
Overall a nice experience, they delivered the pieces when they promised and took care of what I asked them to do. The sales people were always courteous and attentive. It's nice to have my babies back!I was pleasantly surprised that they gave me the pieces that they replaced (due to preventive maintenance) on my Planet Ocean.
Hello, I have 2 sons and I'm considering buying each of them a watch to be given to them on their 18th birthday (16+ years later). Ideally, it would be nice if one watch is wearable by my wife and the other by myself but that might limit the choices so it's not 100% must. My question is regarding this: if you are younger than 30, how do you feel about your parents passing down a watch to you? Are there any particular model/color that you'd like (from the current new collections that I can get from an AD?) And if you have kids, have you done something similar and what did you buy? So, what would be the best 2 watches for my sons?Thank youps. Any current rolex watch is fair game regardless of material and this is not for investment purpose at all so I could care less about how much the watch would be worth 16 years later. :)
