As we know the forthcoming games in Beijing have attracted much controversy as preparations for the opening ceremony draw near. The political ills of the PRC cannot be resolved over a short space of time nor would a stand off yield a desirable resolution since it is the spirit of The Games which would suffer and as John said in a debate on WTF last year that the people of China would lose the opportunity to see what freedom and democracy look like. While we can be assured that the goverment of the host nation would make as much political capital out of The Games, the longer term solution lies not in demanding that sponsors renege on their agreements and ties with the Olympic movement but in a gradual change that can only be brought about by ¡° winning friends and influencing people ¡± much as this seems a slower process. For whatever reasons may lie in the choice of a particular host nation for these Games, it should not detract from the work that goes in to reflect excellence in achie

Well, well, well - the Panda woke up!
I was getting really disappointed that it had stopped after having it for just 6 months. Again, it must have been over-wound by the watch winder¡­??On a bright side, I pulled out the crown to set the time, hoping that the mechanism would engage, and noticed the 'second hand' moving for about 5 seconds.I then pulled it out again and pushed it back in and noticed another 5 seconds¡­ repeated this for about another 20-30 times and the watch started! I'm wearing it now to see how it keeps time and also to make sure it continues to charge and will take it in to the AP boutique when the watchmaker arrives on Thursday. It is too bad that the movement is so sensitive - nothing like the Rolex work-horses :)

first Breitling post SA/Isofrane content PICS!!
ok guys/gals.. i typically hang in the rolex area but i decided to give the Breitling some love today. I had this Isofrane strap laying around and thought its a shame to not use such (IMO) an expensive rubber strap. it tones the weight down a ton and makes for a real comfy fit. i must say while im not a HUGE fan of the design of the Isofrane, it is about the best quality rubber strap i have owned. now when they offer this in 20mm i will be picking one up for my Marathon SAR. feel free to give me some feed back but mainly posted these so you all could see a different look and it might be something someone might like to do to their SA. i bet you havent seen this combo. i dont hate it.
