Which is the best to buy Rolex DeepSea 16660, Tag Heuer Calibre 36RS or Panerai 00171
Please help me choose which will be the best watch to obtain from the three listed below. I have not purchase any watch for the last 10 years after I obtain what I think are the ultimate in my watch collections but now I want to find one that is tough for daily use and good in resale value. For anyone that is curious of what are the last 2 watches that I purchased which ended my desire of buying another watch for 10+ years. Monsters - old versus new?
Seiko Monsters (1st gen.) seem to be pretty affordable these days. Other than hacking and winding is there any quality difference between 1st and 2nd? How long do you have to shake a first generation to give it a good start for the day, assuming you have let it sit long enough to stop? I personally don't care whether a watch hacks, although I understand why people do. Actually, I should say that in a casual/dive watch I don't care much if it hacks. On a nicer, more elegant watch (i.e. a more expensive watch) it is a must. I do expect more if I pay more. The short version of my question is whether there is any actual difference in the quality and durability between the Gen. 1 and Gen. 2. I've seen some deals on Gen. 1's that have really tempted me, but the price difference is still far less than $100.00.So, opinions please!P.S. I don't have a real preference between the two as far as cosmetics go, but the Gen. 2's do have more options...

Hi all,I have been thinking about getting an AP rubberclad for quite some time now. Today , I had the opportunity to try one on, and i wasnt that impressed. Over the last few month i have been marveling at photos and wrist shots, day dreaming of the moment i owned a ROO rubber. I dont really know what is was that turned me off . maybe it was the feel of the rubber strap that felt more like plastic to me . maybe it was the fact that i have been wearing a DSSD everyday now for a couple of months, and in comparison the rubberclad felt like a swatch on my wrist. i dont really know where this post is going so maybe you can guide me somehow. should i abandone my pursuit of an AP and turn my attention to another rolex ( I Probably shouldnt of have posted on an AP forum)? Opinions ? Any other AP references in my price range that might tickle my fancy?Below is a wrist shot. What do you guys think?Sorry for the crappy phone pics, its all i had at that moment.
