Magrette Chronograph Watches
Magrette of New Zealand has just released two watches for pre-order that are the brand's first chronograph watches. The watches contain the same movement and share similar cases, but have their differences. The first watch is the Magrette Moana Pacific Chronograph PVD and the second is the Magrette Regattare Chronograph.With their first chronograph watch Magrette did not want to alienate its loyal followers by pricing the watch too high. At the same time the movement needed to be interesting and useful. Magrette turned to the actually quite impressive Seagull TY-2901 manually wound 30 minute chronograph movement. This is a Chinese made replica of an older movement called the Venus 175. Another watch that used this movement was the Techne Sparrow Hawk that I reviewed here. The Sparrow Hawk sold very well and I attribute that to people liking the nice mixture of interest and value in the movement.Through the exposed caseback you can see the movement - which has the fine look of a vintage

hi guys, in looking at the oris diver date, and i really like it, but i need your help first.this is the model i like, black or bluei love divers, and big watches, i need to see some pics, wrist shots and info.owners experience, and info of the movt, and the size [the most important thing]the lume is important to me too.some pics compared to any invicta will help a loti never owned an oris, so please, tell me about the fit and finish of this watches. still they look solid to me,thanks guys.

Theory on large watches. . .
I watched about 10 minutes of the Merm today and based on what was said about large watches now coming out of the Croton shop, I have formulated a theory about WHY watches are getting so large. Here goes.Women are now buying and wearing men's watches in unprecedented numbers in the last few years. Men are threatened and subconsciously are not going to give up without a fight so to prove their masculinity (and superiority), they are buying even larger and heavier watches to maintain their watch-wearing advantage.Thank you.

This was one of 1st watches I purchased and it seems to be the Least wornand since I sent it in for service it never sees Daylight due to ZERO scratches and fresh polish from Factory any ideas what it is worth? Is this watch Rare? worth keeping? Who Buys used watches? Bought from Tourneau box papers fresh service from Dallas. Thanks guys!

Datejust II Thoughts Bought from an AD
First time Rolex buyer here. I recently visited a local AD. I tried on a ton of Rolex watches (Explorer, Explorer II, Milgauss, Datejust 36, Sub, GMT) from 36mm up through my current one I decided on. The salesperson was extremely helpful, and I had additional salespeople give their thoughts on what really looked the best on my arm. I asked if they could come off the $9,100 price, and they would not budge. Is this normal for a now discontinued watch? I'll admit, I love the watch and this one really sang to me when I put it on. As a first time buyer, I wanted to go through an AD. It's mine now, and I love it. Thoughts?
