Cartier Astrotourbillon Carbon Crystal Limited Edition Watch
Cartier recently wowed watch nerds with the rather impressive Cartier ID Two concept watch. Those with the budget to even theoretically purchase one are likely to be disappointed that the ID Two (like the ID One watch) will never be for sale. However, at the same time Cartier announced the ID Two, it also announced the limited edition Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon Carbon Crystal watch that incorporates some of the technology and will be for sale.[youtube youtubewatches-dealer/watch?v=jBueaaEuuGk]The Cartier Astrotourbillon (hands-on here) originally came out about two years ago. The super cool watch had an in-house Cartier made movement that was a re-think of the traditional tourbillon escapement. The "astrotourbillon" - as they called it - was an escapement mechanism that spun around the periphery of the dial as a running seconds indicator, just like a hand. 15400/15202 comparison
I was lucky enough to try both on yday - but although in my mind the 15202 was the place to be : the assistant said he thought the 15400 was a better size for meWhat do you guys think? I guess - the other thing is I believe the 15202 to be that little bit more special- I've had a 15400 before but in steel and so the change up to OR version wasn't quite as exciting as the completely new (to me) movement I get going 15202

Unexpectedly back in Breitling!
Hi everyone, just wanted to share a little story of how I ended up back in Breitling after about 9 years of absence. Firstly, I had been focused on adding to my panerai collection with a radiomir 292, I have been admiring this watch for some time. Anyway, I had been in Orlando for a week with my young family doing the whole Disney World experience which was amazing and on shopping adventures my wife and I ended up at a AD of panerai, which happened to have a 292, which I tried on and was somewhat disappointed with my reaction. I wasn't thrilled about it on my wrist. So, back it went on tho the display, then my wife suggested I add another IWC to my collection and looked at the Galapagos which just looked to plasticky for the price.....then she saw the Breitling store and said to take a look. Immediately she scoped out my new purchase the Superocean M2000, with the green accents on the chrono, nice watch and nice wrist presence. Very happy with it so far.

The 5170 photographs well but seems unusually soft on the secondary market. Any thoughts from owners of the 5170j or 5170g why this might be?I know the predecessor 5070, now considered iconic by many, also had a rather rocky start. Curious to hear from current/past owners, especially of the original 5170j, what you liked or didn't like about this reference. It's been about 7 years now since its release and I'm baffled by its seemingly lukewarm appeal.Edit: sorry, typo in the header - should be 5170

Hi I'm new to the forum, I've been given the choice to chose a watch from 3 rolex's in a will. They are all brand new still, they are a 50th anniversary submariner, a SS white face Daytona (pre ceramic) and a sea dweller deep sea blue (James Cameron)Which would be the best daily wearer and not so much to keep as an investment?Thanks in advance.
