Ebel 9014G38-992035206 wrist watches news:
On September 17, 2009, the Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk watch that was taken into space by Richard Garriott was auctioned at Antiquorum’s New York sale. The sale generated lively bidding, and the selling price exceeded both the reserve and the pre-sale estimate. Seiko has now donated the sale proceeds to the two charities that Richard Garriott supports, the Nature Conservancy and the Challenger Center for Space Science Education. In early 2010, Seiko will release a 100 piece commemorative edition of the Spacewalk. Richard Garriott¡¯s intention has always been that the watch that Seiko created for his space adventure would be made available to a wider public as a way of promoting space travel and the furtherance of space science. This Limited Edition commemorative watch turns this ambition to reality.Below, the Spring Drive Spacewalk sold at the Antiquorum sale
My condolences are extended to his family and the Rolex community as a whole.Anyone know who successor will be and if has already assumed his new post?
I think I got away with one on e-bay last night. E-bay was having problems yesterday. Pretty much all day you couldn't get a search on anything. Whatever you put in, such as my usual, "Benrus watches", it came up with zero returns. All you do was go to "My E-Bay" page and if you had something saved you could bid. So I bid on the watch below at the opening price of $20.00 and I won it for that price, because nobody else could get a bid on it unless they had it in their My E-Bay page and I guess nobody did. So for $20.00, I got a very nice little 1940's cushion style watch, nothing really special or "rare", but just a nice example of the era - This probably should have been a 50-70 dollar watch. To bad for the seller.I only wish some of the more expensive watches I had in "my e-bay" were coming due when this problem came up, because I could have really walked away with a steal!
Hi guys, does anyone has a Audemars Piguet Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon 41mm (steel or gold)? Reference number is 26510ST.OO.1220ST.01 (steel) or 26510OR.OO.1220OR.01 (gold).orI would like to see some real life pictures and wristshots. A few real life pics from the back would also be nice! Thanks guys
I am having a difficult time picking my next time piece. I am looking for a daily wear like my 15300 with non calendar complications except date around the 30k range. Also need to have decent water resistance for swimming or water activities (missing in my AP)I tried on a 5711 with white dial at local dealer. Really liked the fit with slim case. My AP is white dialed so wanted the blue dial. I recently lost an opportunity to buy a blue dialed 5711 at retail ($25k) and refuse to pay mark up prices. Looking at the PP catalog, the Aquanaut caught my eye a watch I never really considered. It seems practical, durable and the rubber strap is unique in the PP line plus same movement as the 5711. I have had other rubber strap watches and have been quite comfortable. The aquanaut seems to be overlooked often over the Nautilus. Within budget I can get the 5167R with gold case and clasp or the 5164 steel world time that can be useful during travels. Though the left pushers on 5164 seems out of pl
