There is a lot of bang for the buck in this watch. It is much larger than expected but it IS a Man's watch. The presentation of the box is extremely nice. The nicest part is the exposed back where you can see the clockworks.

Sure there are high quality American watch companies such as RGM, Kobold, Hamilton, Ball, and various small operations such as the Bozeman Watch Company and Ryser Kentfield, but buy mostly Swiss made movements and special parts. It was probably Hamilton that last made mechanical watch movements 30-40 years ago.As an art almost lost in America, it took Roland Murphy of RGM watches to re discover watch movement making. Anybody know where the stem release (set lever) mechanism is on this 60s Oris (442KIF)?I suspect it might be the teeny tiny screw just to the right.

What A Letdown!
So, my schedule at being manager at the thrift store has changed (Only 2 days a week now), and today came in what (I thought) was the best watch I've seen in the 9 months since I took over...A great looking G-Shock Frogman!Having no internet access at the store and not knowing very much about the many lines of G-Shocks that are available, I took the watch home and searched the net and.....fake as hell.But, the good thing is, I spent quite bit of time researching about these watches and learned just how much fake G-Shocks are out there. WOW! So, it gave me the opportunity to learn about a kind of watch I wasn't familiar with.Oh, BTW....I hate this fake being in my home!!
