IWC IWC 39065 wrist watches news:
It's almost October, and that means the Geneva auctions are just around the corner. Today we are happy to show you some of the highlights of Phillips' second Geneva auction, and boy are there some killers. First, you may remember that in Phillips' first sale this may, several records were set, including the most expensive steel watch and the most expensive Daytona. You can read about all that here to set the stage for the details of the highlights to come this November. We have a dream watch in a split-seconds steel chronograph from Patek, we have a Submariner actually worn in a James Bond movie, a first series Patek 2499, and some incredible Vacherons and Cartiers. Let's have a look. Patek Philippe Reference 1436 Split-Seconds Chronographs In Stainless Steel 1 OF 17 The 1436 is one of only two production split-second chronograph references made by Patek Philippe in the 20th century. Ok. So my wife is turning 40 in a couple of months and I've decided to get her a watch as her gift. I've gotten it down to 2 models. Got some input from her in passing as we window shopped. I'm trying to decide between an AP ROO SS white or a Blancpain Leman model in white. Both have diamonds on the bezel. The AP comes on a rubber strap and the Blancpain comes on either stain or alligator strap. The AP is much more sporty while the Blancpain is a bit more dressy, but sporty enough I think to wear casually. She already has dressy pieces from JLC and Cartier. Here is my dilemma. The Blancpain is an automatic movement and the AP is a Quartz. Is it worth paying this much money for a quartz movement? She likes the idea of a quartz because she doesn't have to adjust the time before wearing it. I just have a hard time getting my head around it. I just wish AP would make this model in an automatic without the chrono. What do you guys think?
Hey Friends!Apologies if this has been covered. I did search and couldn't find specific info.I have a curiosity about any changes or variations made in the 15400ST, specifically from an H serial to a J serial, but all series info is welcome.I'm just wondering what changes there were if any, and if the changes are considered to be simple cosmetic differences, functional differences, and/or improvements. Pictures are of course welcome too :)Thanks very much!
I don't think I've seen any 8500s on mesh here on TRF, opinions welcome!!
Does anyone have wrist shots of the 5227G/black dial to share here?
