IWC iw376404 wrist watches news:
Hamilton's Khaki line of watches have been popular among outdoorsmen/women looking for wallet friendly, rugged mechanical watches. Very useful watches, even if a tad uninteresting. The aviation inspired X-Patrol adds a new spin to these watches however, with the addition of conversion scales for world travelers that haven't quite nailed down units like kilometers, liters and meters. What's more, the X-Patrol has a new movement, various dial configuration options and a sub $2,000 price tag. What looks at first glance to be a gussied up Tachy bezel, is actually two rings that flank the dial, one of which rotates via the crown at 9 o'clock. On the inner ring are 4 separate data sets that can be matched up with the rotating outer bezel. Once you've got the arrows lined up you can make your conversion of miles and kilometers (statute or nautical); heights or altitudes in feet and meters; volumes in gallons and liters; and weights in pounds and kilograms. Pretty useful stuff if you're trying
So after some agonising days waiting for it, my AD finally called me.I havent been this excited about a watch before. Hi all,I have recently inherited a Chandler 17 Jewels Incabloc winding pocket watch and was wondering if anyone could give me any info, i have had the back off and can see the mechinisam and it says swiss and 17 jewels on it, on the back case there is some number 15,21-6 and some some tiny number and what looks like signatures that i just cant make out with the naked eye.I have included a picture but do to having a rubbish camera its really not clear. I'm just trying to find out when the watch was made really and a bit of history, for example was it mass produced (which it looks like it could be) is it a 'brand' watch. anything really.Thank you in advance to anyone who can help
For me, I tend to play better when I wear my watch. The wrist awareness factor actually makes me swing less recklessly and keep the ball in play. Boy, we had fun today
Well... I have been hanging out with VC way too much. I have been in search for a 5970J for about 3 months now. My search concluded today. I only found 3-4 5970J’s readily available and for sale in the world on this search. In contrast, I came across ~15 5970P's. If anyone wants a P let me know. Maybe I will be fortunate enough to add the P to my collection one day as well. I saw some good deals on pre-owned P. Many G’s and R’s were offered. I am not kidding. But for now the J is the latest addition!I want to thank SteelerFan and VC for their help. It is really nice to add the old (5970) to the new (5270). And some J to my G... I am going to have to agree with hutchman, the 5270 is a more advanced and exact watch from case to movement. The 5270 represents the present and the future. The 5970 represents the last of the past. And the J is fitting to me because it is the most “classic” of the 5970 references.About the 5970J… It debuted at Basel 2008
