IWC IWC 18178 wrist watches news:
Congrats to Shawn H. from Simi Valley California, the winner of the Mark Carson Individual Design Ka La watch that we?gave away on watches-dealer last month. Mark Carson also has a wonderful "Endless Summer" promotion right now that we think is too nice to pass up. For the price of one watch you get three straps, a Hawaiian Koa wood box, and a really nice Koa wood pen made by a local person in Hawaii. Certainly check it out. Also, the?September watches-dealer giveaway is for an automatic March LA.B AM1 watch.
The past couple of years been a golden age of vintage reissues, from the Tudor Heritage Chrono to the W&W favorite Oris Diver's Sixty-Five, and Junghans' new announcement looks to continue the trend. The Junghans Meister Pilot Event Edition picks up the legacy of Junghans' own J88 Bundeswehrchronograph of 1955, the under-appreciated second part of a trifecta of watches made for the reassembling German military that also included the mono-pusher Hanhart 417 and the legendary Heuer Bund.Nowadays Junghans certainly makes some incredibly attractive designs, like the Max Bill line, but the majority of these pieces trend toward stark minimalism. The Meister Pilot Event Edition represents only the second dive into more retro designs for the brand after last year's gorgeous Meister Telemeter, and one that on paper could be lost in a sea of flieger chronographs. One look at the Meister Pilot Event Edition puts that fear to rest. The clear standout element here is the unique scalloped bezel
First off let me say hello to all. New to the site and have foung this a wealth f information. I have had the watch bug over 27 years and do not see the fever breaking any time soon. I hope to pick your brains on a new to me watch. Consellation 14k pie pan. My main question is if I should have the dial restored. I have a replacement crown for this as I do not think this one is correct. I also believe the chrystal is a replacement but it is an omega chrystal, also should the watch have a cyclops. Thank you all in advance for any ideas or comments. I am hooked on theWTF. I am trying to post a few pics hope this works. Sorry ser# 2530xxx calibre 564 case 168005 does this seem to fit. Patrick
Friends,My first automatic arrived in the mail today, I'm deployed and have been anxiously awaiting its coming. A discontinued variation of the Navy Khaki GMT by hamilton, I've never seen craftsmanship like this, I'm extremely pleased. I also have a Waltham is on its way to me as we speak and I am certain that I will be equally pleased with it. Looking forward to getting into this outstanding hobby. V/RR.
Hi all,I've been looking at an older model 'coltocean' quartz in a shop - no papers etc. It looks & feels genuine, but I'm intrigued by the seconds hand - it does not have a square or arrow at the tip, but is coloured red for the last cm or so. I've done a quick google for images of the quartz colt ocean but they all seem to show the square or arrowhead seconds hand.Anyone know if this watch originally came out with a 'standard' looking seconds hand (with the red tip)? Not too serious about jumping in but would like to verify authenticity as much as possible. There is no AD anywhere near hear so can't really go there. Although simply removing the caseback would be pretty conclusive (no one bothers to fake a movement/detailing etc).Anyone....?
