A brief statement on value and watch values
I think I know what I like in watches. It is getting an amazing deal - finding something of real worth for a good price. I'm beginning to turn away from a lot of watches that are wildly overpriced. I would rather find a great vintage deal or something that is secretly of good worth. I find a great pleasure in owning this sort of thing. This is one reason I am now turning toward the Asian market place.It all reminds me of an expensive restaurant. I was recently in NYC and saw a 6 pack of Dos Equis for $17. We once ate at a nice restaurant where two cups of coffee was $14, but the food and desert were only average. But how much more fun to find a secret restaurant with a real chef where you pay a fraction of the popular hype place?I've included a photo here to make my point. While in NY I lost my nice pocket camera. I think I paid $350 to $400 for it. Very complicated with all sorts of confusing info and read-outs. Took average photos. So, I had to buy this $179 Fujifilm thi

Omega Case Numbers
I find it incredibly difficult to believe that in today's information technology driven world it isn't easier to identify an Omega Case Number. Do I have this right that the only way to identify the case number is to actually remove the case back itself? I do not live close to an AD, I do not have the tools/knowledge to remove/replace the case back myself reliably, and I have not yet emailed Omega. I have searched this and other forums thoroughly without much luck.Goals are to identify the case back number for Omega PO 8500 42mm with Orange Bezel, so I can order the OEM Black Rubber Strap with Orange Stitching and proper clasp.Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
