IWC 666 wrist watches news:
It looks like the Speedy Pro that I was hoping to purchase this month is turning more into an elusive grail piece than I originally anticipated (unless uncle same delivers an unexpectedly large tax return). Due to a dying furnace that needs replacing, an exterior paint job, some other home projects that need doing, plus the fact that my business didn't set any records last year has led me to realize that my beloved speedy is going to have to wait.I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for responding to any of my post lately and for all of your discussion in the past. I have been a lurker on these forums for a long time, so all of your discussion with or without me have helped me realize what my true grail watch is, so thanks! There is always next year.Dave
I also have been looking to purchase a Breitling for a while now, but I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. I ran across a Super Ocean Steelfish last night and snatched it up. I'm currently serving in Iraq and will be home next week on leave. It will be waiting there for me at the house when I get home. What a great welcome home present! I will post pics when I get to it..........
A friend came across the watch below last evening, used to belong to his late father-in-law. He's done some looking on the 'net but hasn't come up with a similar one without the Officially Certified under Chronometer on the dial.. Can anybody flesh out any info on this? Thanks.
Assuming a person knows the patek brand, how would you feel if you or they were consulting with an expensive attorney or doctor and he or she was wearing a complicated patek? Would it change your Initial Impression? Would it be different if he was wearing a gold rolex? Please try to answer with your initial emotional reaction.
I'm new to the watch collecting game and I recently picked up a couple a new explorer 1 back in December of last year and more recently a sub nd in February - both to mark significant milestones. I sneaky wear the Explorer at work under the sleeve and the sub is my weekend warrior. I love these watches to bits - I think they are close to perfect and am super happy with them. But I would like one more to complete my Rolex collection ¨C a BLNR - even though I bought 2 watches from my local AD they more or less told me to forget about getting one until at least next year and then they 'would see' what they can do for me.Under normal circumstances I would not be in a hurry to get this watch - but understanding that my local AD is my best shot and is really just blowing me off like this (even after me buying 2 watches recently) makes me realise that it's going to be difficult to get my hands on one some time in the foreseeable future...If I wait for my AD, it might get discontinued in that t
