- I purchased this watch for my mother as Christmas present. She always said she'd like to try a Bulova someday so this helped me narrow down what watches to look at.

- The watch arrived in record timing which was great for me. I must say it is a large watch which I was not expecting. However, it is still beautiful. I can't wait to sport it.

IWC 3227-01 wrist watches news:
I was reading a thread about the 'stretch' of the bracelet, and got me thinking...............What is the best way to clean them and get rid of all the dirt and grime in the center links?
Here is one of my Bulova Accutrons 218s, a neat blue dial wallpaper or tapestry design with a blue gator band.
Why is there such little discussion about the technical aspects of watches and so much display of what everyone is wearing? When I go to the American watch site, very little on watches, just WRUW stuff, disappointing.
Hello, I am a new member here, and unfortunately my first post is going to be a very sad one.My late grandfather have passed on to me a beautiful, beautiful 70s Seiko 5 (pictures below). I have recently been involved in a motorcycle accident, during which the watch got completely wrecked (I came out lucky, barely a couple of scratches - but the watch is totaled).I am completely heartbroken with losing this watch, it was a gift from my late grandfather which is very dear to me. Having to have witnessed this watch smashed was like having a piece of me crushed under a car. This loss is agonizing to me, and even my mom was saddened by it. This watch is very dear to us. Now I am set out to find an identical watch, or parts to attempt to restore something out of it.The movement is 7019. On the caseback it says 7019 7390. On the dial, it says JAPAN 7019 7530T. I have scoured the internet for identical/similar models. All I could find was replacement Day/Date dials. The bracelet was signed by S
Browsing around some other forums I saw a discussion about a vintage watch from Brand P that had a Brand W dial on it. Both brands used the same automatic caliber under their own rebadged model number, so parts are interchangeable. It was an obvious franken, but get this - a vintage dealer (his website was in his signature) said "If you redial it to [Brand P] you will have a decent and legit watch." I can't believe I resisted commenting! It isn't decent, and it isn't legit in any way. How would an aspiring collector feel if he found out he bought this watch expecting it to be authentic? This is why it's so important to get references and have good contacts.Okay, I'm stepping down off my soapbox and getting back to work.
