- Love the look of the watch, but it is very bulky. Sticks out away from your body, so easy to knock against things. The watch came with in a few days. Nice packaging. No real compaints.

It is rare for one man to design every component of a watch¡¯s case, dial and movement. Peter Speake-Marin’s new Thalassa is such a watch. The harmonious design incorporates Peter’s trademark elements, and so is instantly recognizable as his. The blued©\steel of the outer dial, hands and seconds wheel create a nautical ambiance which inspired the name “Thalassa”, a sea goddess from Greek mythology and the personification of the Mediterranean Sea. The case is Peter’s iconic “Piccadilly” design, rendered in 18K white gold. The basic shape was inspired by the cases used to house prototype movements Peter worked with early in his career. The name “Piccadilly” honors the formative years Peter spent working in restoration at Somlo Antiques in Piccadilly, London. This is the set that should have been for a while now. Swedish watch maker Gustafsson & Sj?gren (GoS) will soon release this limited edition watch and knife set. Johan Gustafsson is actually a bladesmith who specializes in creating beautiful Damascus steel. His work has been transformed into watch cases and dial in the GoS brand, but now you can get one of their watches and knives together in a beautiful set.Artisan type work with this aesthetic is either something you love or hate. You can't deny the incredible level of detail and work that goes into creating the complex patterns of this type of folded and then blacksmithed metal. What I really like is that between the knife and watch you get a range of different Damascus steel styles and patterns. The set really does include a large range of GoS's capabilities. I was out shopping today checking out the wine for this evening, and there was a gentleman to the right of me doing the same thing as he reach out with with his left arm i noticed he was wearing an Omega Seamaster blue face i have never seen anyone wear an omega never mind this gorgeous blue bezel model so i said"thats an omega isn't it m8""yeah why""[COLOR="Black"]like the blue bezel really stands out,i've only ever seen pics on the net i haven't seen one up close before,i've got an Omega"[/COLOR]"good for you" and walked offAt that point my face was like a tomato and my wife bollocked me for making a fool out of myself in future i will keep my mouth shut.Thanks

I broke down today and bought another Hamilton
Quartz Khaki King.I always liked the watch and for the price I had to bite.As a matter of fact,the price was so good for a Swiss Made,Sapphire crystal Hammie that I replaced the OEM black leather with a brown Buffalo strap!!I have so many automatics that my focus is now on quartz.Some day I'm gonna have to get those autos serviced and that will probably cost me!!!Batteries I can handle.Servicing 25+ autos is another problem!:eek:Quick and Dirtys
