IWC 81438 wrist watches news:
My Yorktowne was next in the rotation today. Show your 2-tone dials if you've got 'em. White Wednesday tomorrow.
I bought this from a guy in MO about 5 years ago. Glad I did cause I have not seen another one since. I wear it several times a month. Love the mother of pearl dials.
I'm looking at my next watch to have a chronograph and would love to buy a SS white dial Daytona or the Paul Newman but they're a bit too expensive for me right now.I have been considering the Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch with manual wind or a Breitling Navitimer. I definitely want my next watch to have a chronograph. Leaning towards the Moon watch. I like the history behind the watch and the manual wind.I currently own a Rolex SD and have never had a chrono.Any suggestions and or opinions on which chrono? What would you buy and why?
I have been able to take out the spring bars on a little Timex expedition but the Seiko has thicker bands and the spring bars are tougher to get to on the Seiko. I have just received this watch as a Christmas gift so I do not want to screw or scratch the watch up because it is really nice but I want to change the rubber strap and try out my Zulu strap on it. So how do I change it myself or I also do have a Timex store in the outlet mall that I work in and I could get them to take the bars out I think. Oh and yes I am new to watches and very new to these forums any kind advice would be appreciated.EDIT: Even just showing me what the spring bar area looks like so I know what to tug at and I do have the standard Seiko rubber strap on the watch right now.
Guys, Heads Up. Being new to this site and buying on EBay, I've noticed sellers describing their watches as having a few months or years left on the warranty. Do not take this as a given. Warranties sometimes are valid only for the original owner!! I am sure that some of these sellers are not even aware of this fact. So take this into account when buying, although high end watches rarely fail within the warranty period.
