Audemars Piguet 15320OR wrist watches news:
He pointed out the outline of tape on the floor. ¡°That will be my desk.¡± He preferred I not take pictures of him at his temporary desk. A handyman was drilling audibly in the other room while on a ladder. This is John Simonian¡¯s new office space. A short stroll from the previous location, no doubt the shrewd businessman took advantage of depressed real estate market to upgrade his surroundings ¡ª roughly tripling the size of his domain. Though most people who indirectly do business with John won¡¯t ever see it, save for a few select clients who are fortunate. Simonian is the owner of Westime, the popular luxury watch store situated around the corner off Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Though he really does a lot more than that. The watch don is friendly at his desk. His own office includes a conference table and toys. I recognize the wisdom of having company meetings in the room he feels most comfortable in, that is him. Soft in his tone and extremely congenial, my impressions of John all b
Zin's previous post about dress watches got me thinking. When I get my speedy, if I was to put a nice alligator strap on it would it be nice enough for formal wear? Do you think that even on the bracelet could it pull off formal wear? I'm not in a suit and tie very often, so I figure buying a dress watch is a bit of a waste for me. I'm much more into sport watches, so I was hoping that I could find one that could pull off all occasion with a simple strap change. Lets hear your opinions. Thanks,Dave
Last year, Oris released a beautiful (IMHO) watch inspired by a 1950's Jaguar's dash instruments, in conjunction with the RAID series of motoring events held each year (Switzerland - Paris).Following up on this LE edition are two new models, this time based on the Austin Healey 100M (1953).First up is the RAID 2011 Chronograph:And of course, the dashboard the watch dials are based on:Next up, the RAID 2011 Alarm Edition. Personally I like this one the best of the two, it just has nicely balanced, clean look to it - and I love the idea of an alarm on an auto watch N.b. the red '21' on the dial is to mark the 21st anniversary of the RAID Suisse-Paris event. For those with a technical bent, the official specs of the watches are:Oris RAID 2011 Chronograph EditionRef. Any ideas how much and what would be the best way to get extra links for the IWC Spitfire chrono? Also I bought the hubby an alligator strap but is there a tool to switch from the metal to the leather strap? Thanks
After purchasing some nice straps I was ready to do my first strap change on my PAM98 today.I made sure I had everything set-up properly. I taped the areas around the screws, so there wouldbe no scratches should the screwdriver slip. I took my watchmaker's screwdriver set and founda screwdriver that perfectly matched the grove on the screw. I knew this was very important and I checkedthe perfect fit up close - with a 20 x loupe. One side, screws 1 and 2 loosened up, lugs pulled out and strap changed...super easy, took 2-3 minutes.Other side: - screw #3 came out again very easy, but the last screw would not budge. I tried again. Nothing.Checked under the loupe if the screw really did not move only to find out in horror that the grove got already mangled with my effort!!Apparently when they installed the strap in factory, this one screw was over-tightened as it did not budge at all while the other 3 screws came out SUPER easy. Not sure what to do now..I do not think that even my watchmak
