IWC IW371802 wrist watches news:
The Rado brand tends to shy away from materials of classical watches like gold, brass and steel and instead use diamonds of high technology, lanthanum, Sapphire, hard metal or as this shows, ceramics of high technology. The society strives to great works of modern jewellery watches. The watch of mens Rado Original chronograph has a movement of quartz and the date and chronograph function.
I have owned an 18K/SS Rolex Submariner since 1997, and over the 12 years I've had it, I have beat the living snot out of it. I've smashed it against cars, steel doorjambs, and support poles. I've worn it playing golf hundreds of times, diving, sailing, basketball, tennis you name it. It has been bumped, rubbed, slammed,, scraped and smashed against every kind of surface you can name. The watch had been in for routine service twice, and has always kept very good time, currently gaining less than 1 second/day. I am amazed that as badly as I have treated it, there has never been the hint of a hiccup in it's function. Even more remarkable is that cosmetically, it's in outstanding shape. The crystal is perfect, the bracelet is near perfect, the bezel, trim ring, stem and case are very good and almost require a loop to find flaws. Both times it has been in for service, it has been "restored" cosmetically so now only the soft gold end links show signs of significant use. My experience, thoug
I actually know the name of this model. Well, actually I know the name of it, because I remember seeing it on Genejockey's blog featured in an ad.Specifically, from this ad that I took a screenshot of: $89.50 when new (if I read that correctly) in 1953, or so. It uses a Swiss movement, rebranded the 643 for Elgin. The case is 10k gold filled and measures 30mm bezel to bezel. It has a few dings and the dial shows a bit of age, but the gold coating is intact. The movement runs and winds smoothly so far. The crystal is in excellent shape. It came with a Speidel gold band, but I found an old alligator leather band to make it a closer match to how it looked in the ad. A couple things make this watch stand out to me. The pattern on the outer ring of the dial is somewhat unusual for Elgins. Also, Elgin used Roman numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9. The hour markers are coated in gold and reflect the light along with the hands. Finally, of course, there are the lugs. The reverse "C's"maks i
Hello I am very interested in the Vintage - IW323301Ingenieur Automatic in stainless steel with black alligator leather strapI am going to be in Chicago soon so would value your opinion on how to go about buying this watch in Chicago. I suppose an AD is the best bet of which there are four in Chicago as per the IWC site.1. Marshall Pierce & Co.2. Sidney Garber Jewelers3. Swiss Fine Timing Downtown Chicago4. Tourneau Inc.Can anyone answer the following questions.1. What is the normal retail price for this watch in the states?2. How best do you negotiate a discount or is there even scope to negotiate with such a watch?3. Can you recommend any online store which sells legitimate IWCs that I could possibly buy off?Lets say it was up for sale for 10,000USD in an AD store and I got it for 8,500 approximately 15% off I would jump at it. I presume it comes down to the sales man but any advice of those who are experienced buyers would be great. This will be my first luxury watch so it is
I've not looked at AP for a while since put the idea of a 15400 out of my mind.. I recently wanted to add a complicated watch to my collection and started looking at PP, Lange,VC and AP again. I wasn't able to find many Jules Audemars topics here.Any opinions or experience with he Jules Audemars complications. Looking at a dual time/ perpetual. Mainly looking at how they are to live with and how they may compare to a equal price PP or VC.thanks!
