Atmospheric conditions & Speedmaster
I'm a happy owner of Seamaster but also I'm a fan of Speedmaster! So, I have no experiences with Speedmaster but I know there are a hope Speedmaster owners here ...for my interest in Speedmaster and following questions:I know that the Speedmaster Professional (cal.1861) is made specially for space missions and therefore it can withstand extreme space conditions.But these watch can also withstand extreme atmospheric conditions on Earth!To my knowledge it was wearing during the (true) North Pool expedition in 1967 where the temperature fell to below even -50 C (-58 F)...but Speedmaster was still working! I wonder that is the same with higher temperatures, I mean the conditions of Speedmaster professional? Does anyone have other (extreme) experiences perhaps? Because I know that usually not everybody is an astronaut or a polar expediter! But maybe a mountain climber?!
