Daytona or Speedy...A Friendly Comparison..
I thought I postd this in the old Forum, but I couldn't find it again in responce to another post...In any event, I think that it's worth another look:Two of the icons in the chronograph world, and two of the most collected, are the Rolex Daytona Cosmograph and the Omega Speedmaster.So, let's take a look at 'em:Both of these fine time-pieces are Swiss Made:But you would expect that the timepieces we seek are Swiss Made...so let's look further.Speedy first. The Omega Speedmaster was introduced in 1957 and became an almost instant hit, popular with the fledging hot-rodders of the day who were interested in timing their road and drag racing, which the Speedy did with only minor calculations using its excellent Tachymetre bezel. Just reading the script on the dial and you knew this was a serious watch. It's classic and immediately recognizable by all true watch enthusiasts::Speedies were fitted with the excellent Lemania movements, and the object of this discussion has the latest 1861/1

Great Experience with the folks at Orbita!!!
I thought I would share a great experience with everyone, although it seems that most people who interact with the team at Orbita has a good expereince.I have been eyeing the Cherry Teslas on the Orbita Outlet site for the past month. I finally took the plunge and ordered four of them.A day later, I received a call from Kevin with Orbita who let me know that the only Teslas left had scratches and dings. While I thought that the Outlet had products that had some minor cosmentic issues, apparently Kevin decided that they were too many to sell. He offered me four brand new first-quality units at the same price. He even offered my a choice of what version I would like (leather or wood veneer)!I just wanted everyone to know that they made a fan out of me and if the product is anything like the service, I can't go wrong. Thanks, Kevin!(btw sadly, all the outlet Teslas are now sold out)

9300 movement with chrono running constantly?????
Can the Speedmaster 9300 stand the chronograph running continuously? I like chronographs but do like to see the big central second hand running and wondered if the movement is designed for and/or robust enough? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Day Date 36mm Too Small
I'm finding 36mm to be too small for a watch these days.I used to love my gold DD 36mm however it just seems too small compared to other watches.With the trend towards watches 40mm or greater I'm wondering if others are finding 36mm to be too small for a gents watch.I love trying on watches and my wrist isn't that big, but when I try on a watch less than 40mm it seems better suited for my wife.
