Panerai PAM088 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone.. Just a quick question. I just 'inherited' a EOD from my FIL and it is in pretty bad condition, rubber pusher need replacement and the PVD coating need complete refurbishment. Just wondering, is there a rubber strap option for this model? The lugs are completely different from our morden day's ROO. What are my options?Btw.. The EOD really reminded me of the BB.. Only if BB have a set of yellow hands, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Anyway.. Love the yellow on black theme and much prefer ceramic and FC over PVD. Thank you very much for your kind feedbacks. Cheers! jennifer

About a month ago I received a call from my AD that he got a watch in that I should see. He was going to have his X-mas party in a few weeks so I asked him to hold it for me. I have a 5711 blue that is supposed to be in shortly (Patek time so .......) Started a thread about having both and received mixed responses but when I saw it at the party knew I had to have it. Unfortunately it needed a link & a half so left it at the AD. Friday I received a call from AD the link arrived so picked it up Saturday. Some phone pics.
Dear Patek Lovers and friends. I need your advice as I am about to pull the trigger but was presented with another option I was not sure was going to be available for a very long time. This is really a battle of tastes and what would be the smart choice. In my collection I am blessed with RO, ROC, ROO, JA, MILLENARY, 5761, 5711 AND 5712. Many of these watches are sports watches but also work with suits etc. Lately I was bitten by the vintage bug and decided to explore vintage/not so common pieces to satisfy my old soul. I am really tempted to get the PP GONDOLO and was ready to pull the trigger for 22k with an additional black alligator strap (included in the price). I was sitting with my AD ready to close the deal when he said: Look what I just gotWell, he takes out a grey 5980 with a 41k price tag. No tax by the way in any of these pieces. So.... guys... what would you do? I feel I have many sport watches and the Gondolo seduced me with its deco design and would be a vintage piece (
What are Rolex and Tudor doing? BB Fifty-Eight? I mean it's basically a re-do of the original Turdor Sub and a cheaper alternative to a Rolex Sub. And the Tudor GMT Pepsi? I mean...is this just a money grab since the recent boom in popularity of the GMT Pepsi? Further, I think it's silly for anyone to say the Sub is better. How better. $4k better for a SS model? Are the differences really that vast? Isn't it like comparing a car that goes 0-60 in 5 seconds vs. one that goes 0-60 in 4? How many people really need that 1 second? Can anyone say GMC and Cadillac? I guess there's a market for both...
