May 1, 2014, marks an important milestone in the Swiss watch industry. It is 175 years ago to the day that Patek Philippe ¡ª perhaps the world’s most prestigious Swiss watch brand, and the last family-owned watch company in Geneva ¡ª was founded. In a letter released to the press, Patek Philippe president Thierry Stern states:“Today, May 1, 2014, I am happy to announce the 175th anniversary of Patek Philippe, and the imminent launch of a special timeline at patek to showcase our history – the longest uninterrupted history of any watch brand. The timeline will be continuously enriched throughout the year, with fascinating stories from our past and present.“We believe that one of the secrets of our success has been our independence (we are the last family-owned watch manufacture in Geneva). I know that Invictas are a touchy subject but I know our group is well connected and informed. I am wondering when the Russian Diver #12440 (and similar color schemes/models) are launching. I have scoured stores and internet but hadn't seen any. Anybody have the scoop?invicta_russian-diver_12440_catalogshot.jpg
Hey guys need some help with a trade I am on the fence about with the value. I am giving: AP Diver 15703ST.OO.A002CA.01 about a year old (none clear back) B&P.Rolex DateJust 2 with blue dial, smooth bezel about a year old B&P.Plus $3000 cashForAP ROC panda dial, new from AD.I want to move these two watches for and ROC but just not sure if I am giving to much cash in this deal. Thanks for any input!
I got my first AP a few weeks ago. I skipped the entry models and went straight for the 41mm RG ROC w/ black dial and black gator strap :D It's a beautiful watch and the current crown jewel of my collection. Since getting it, I've been reading the AP section of this site. I had thought about trading up to the 42mm RG ROO because I like the look of all RG vs the black ceramic bezel hiding the RG bloc behind it. After asking some friends, and one of my gfs, I decided to keep the ROC. She didn't like the too chunky look of the 42 rg ROO, preferring the classier better proportioned 41 ROC. The 44 is beautiful looking, absolutely, I just aesthetically want all RG on my new watch personally this time. I'm getting the impression that the overall most wanted/desired AP here is the 44 RG Ceramic ROO. Accurate? Do you have a different favorite AP?
