- I received this watch today and was absolutely blown away by it's beauty. This is my first purchase, but it won't be my last. I too have wrists and had to remove the extra clasps. It is still a little loose on me so I will have my jeweler adjust the links. No way, am I parting with this one!!!!

- This is a beautiful strap and looks stunning on my Michele Diamond Deco! Be aware that this band is truly Patent Leather and is very very shiny - the picture doesn't show this very well.

Omega Omega 52457 wrist watches news:
While searching information on Rolex Datejust watches, I found there are two similar models. I have searched around for a while, but can't figure out the differences between Rolex Datejust 116234 and Rolex Datejust 16234. Hope to find some good and concise answer on this board.Thanks..
watch2.jpgwatch1.jpgAttached are two pictures (highest quality I can get unfortunately) of a watch I recently came into the possession of.It was given as a wedding gift in 1960 and the strap has been replaced. The crown has a small omega symbol on it, and as far as I am aware it has not been replaced. I am struggling to identify it using the Omega archives. I believe it may have been part of the "International Collection" of the time. My other guess was that it may have been a very old marriage/franken. It is not in working order (my guess is that it has been over wound). I would like to get it fully restored and wanted to know whether it was worth sending to Omega for this. Thanks for your help.
For as long as I've been watching Elgins on Ebay, there has always been someone selling 'military' Elgins in A-11 cases, with black and white 24hr dials (e.g 200697721767). These always look new. Checking up on them, I see a variety of movements, all 8/0 Elgins. It seemed unlikely that someone had stumbled upon a footlocker full of the things, so I figured they were Frankenized.Well, that was confirmed this week. The same seller who constantly sells the 'Military' watches is listing three lots each of a dozen 8/0 Elgin cases (e.g. 200697722888). They've been buying old watches, pulling the movements, putting them in the A11 cases with the military-looking dials, and now they figure to make a profit selling the cases as well.Tempted as I might be by the cases, I can't bring myself to encourage the activity. It's not illegal - unless labelling something 'military' when it's really just military style constitutes fraud (but what would that do to Swiss Army watches?). But I don't lik
This is not really a watch related subject except to the extent that I'm trying to buy another one. I'm hoping somebody here can help. I go to Ebay and search Accutron but then, when I click onto "Ending Soonest ", I get a list of auctions that have already ended and, when I finally get to the watches still for sale, it will say that the auction ends in 30 minutes but then, when I click on the watch to try to bid, it says it ends in about 90 minutes. It's like I'm getting into Ebay and hour after something has happened. Any ideas ?
Hi folks,It's been a long time and I am not only the proud owner of my Airking, which, as my daily beater for 10 years never misbehaved ever. Still performing with the same accuracy as the day I bought it.Anyway - last year my local jeweller had a Sub LV - only seen one before and that was on someone's wrist. It was 2006 and mint. I bought it for $5,000 - which is a lot of money for me to spend impulsively.I like the fact that, unlike my AK (which I still see as the most Platonic design of a wrist watch), it doesn't have the engraved rehaut. Are the plain rehauts any more collectable? or in the future? In fact, are Rolex still making LVs?I have fallen in love with it. The green is stunning and the bezel is used all the time for me to time my tea brewing or the cats being outside in the freezing Indiana weather!Apologies if this has been covered in another thread.
