As part of their sale of Important Watches this year, Sotheby's is auctioning off a unique red gold IWC Special Edition Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph Edition "Le Petit Prince." We took a look at the stainless steel version?of the children's book-inspired watch, and this special version is being auctioned to benefit the?Antoine de Saint-Exup¨¦ry Youth Foundation. ?Antoine de Saint-Exup¨¦ry was, along with being the author of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince,?en Fran?ais), an avid pilot who penned numerous books about the subject.It's hard not to find the "Le Petit Prince" watch attractive, and in red gold it's downright beautiful. The blue face with seven stars has, just like in the stainless steel model, a gold disc which "illuminates" a random star every day. It's not really too practical, since you'd have to assign a star to a day- but this isn't really a piece for practicality. Tell me about my vintage Hamilton flea marker find.
I'm just a novice but I really liked this vintage Hamilton I found at the local flea market today. Will need a little cleaning and the day is a little wonky but other than that it seems to work great. I'm keeping it and will start wearing it. Being a novice I don't know exactly what I found. Any info would be great. Thanks

Went to Munich, this guy followed me home...
Found this whilst nosing around Munich this past week Apologize for the low quality shot (iPhone) and the bright circles are ceiling lights in my kitchen. ;)Hadn't heard of them, but liked this watch went I saw it. It's an open heart design, or in this case, maybe an open intestine, given the space is at 6 o'clock. ;)I didn't want another chrono, but I was waffling when I saw this one. Then I realized it's not a chrono, but the extra complications showcase day of the week and month. :)Large and excellent clasp - reminds me of the one on my Hamilton Maestro Jazzmaster. Dial is carbon fibre, too - nice touch that I didn't realize until after 16 hours of flying when I got home to really oogle it a bit more. I'll check later and see if I can find the nam eof it in the box and update htis post.It also has a showcase crystal back, it's an auto, and it # 0034 of 2999 produced.More pics later when I set up my macro gear on the dslr. :) ;)

I've been fortunate to spend time with many fine watches over the years, but there are only two I regret letting go. My 50th Anniv. Submariner LV, and my Speedmaster Pro.Well, I got a call from my AD today telling me my new Speedmaster Pro has arrived, and is safely tucked away for me until I can get down to see him this weekend.
