Omega Omega 817 wrist watches news:
I'm coming back from the Omega AD, and had this problem, that sounded too weird, but let's hear some opinionsAs you all know, I was going to buy the PO today, and when I was closing the deal, the dealer told me that they had a problem, and they don't have any of the cards that come with the watch (Warranty card, Pictograms and Chronometer certificate) that they will give me a warranty certificate from the store...The explanation was the following: they usually buy the watches from Switzerland in bulk, and to save some on shipping costs, the watches come by air, and the boxes and all the remaining stuff come by sea...So they didn't have received the cards yetWhat sounded strange was that the watch does have it's boxes (white outer, red leather inner) and the user guide (the Omega user bible ), so this don't make sense on the above explanation (the watch should not have even the box)This is not the first time I buy a watch from this folks, and in the past I had a problem with a Tag Heuer
My wife and I spent a couple hours today at Infineon Raceway, driving the new Audi A4. We also had the opportunity to car hop on a short, twisty course, from the A4 to the Lexus IS250 AWD to the BMW 328xi to the Mercedes C300 4MATIC. Here are some photos from the 100mph+ day.Hmmm...R8 city! That's a TT-S as the lead carMy wife didn't need help with the wheel, but what the heck, it was a chance for a double Wrist Shot.Panerai strap-maker Greg Stevens came along for the dayFollowing the lead car at hyperspeed! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
As you may know, we recently had a "recruiting drive" seeking volunteers for the WTF Admin Team. I'm pleased to announce that "Donut" has accepted a role on the Admin Team here in the Panerai Forum along side "beef." Our previous lead Admin Team member here in the Panerai Forum, Stephanie "DiamondGirl" has decided to step down due to the increased activity in her off-line life, but promises to still participate here on WTF when time permits - thanks for all your help Steph!!!! Please join me in welcoming Donut to the Panerai Forum Admin Team!
I don't know if this is old news, but I just read a Hodinkee article saying 89 vintage AP watches from the personal collection of Marcus was purchased by AP and headed to the AP museum..hodinkee/articles/the...udemars-piguetSome of you may know that Marcus has a large AP dealership on Bond Street in London and is also well connected in the watch industry.I have a book from the Marcus AP exhibit back in 2012 and some of these vintage pieces are nothing like their current Royal Oak collection AP is now better known for. If anyone is interested in this book with the vintage AP watches, it can be downloaded from the Marcus website.
Hi everyone quick question here - just got my 5167 and wondering how everyone cut their strap to fit?I'm a 6.5inch and I've cut down to 8 slots from 12, and 6 slots to 6, and the clasp is sitting just right in the middleish .But it is still slightly too lose. not perfect tho, if 8-5 will be a better fit with , or shall I do 7-6?
