I recently found myself in the same position as one of our other members (see the WWYD post). Although, I am definitely in the minors compared to Dennis. But anyway, I stumbled upon a vintage IWC that I really liked. However, I also had some interest going on a Hamilton. Getting both was out of the question. I pinged some very helpful people and decided to let watch #1 go in hopes that I would get watch #2 A bit stressful, because you know - something that great will never come around again...So (sorry Dennis), I now have a vintage Hamilton Ross coming. Patek 5575 Auction Prices
See the prices are slowly coming down. Sotheby's auction at the price at around $130 000 including buyers premium in April 2015 and Aniquorum just sold in December for just under $100 000. Not sure what the sellers premiums are but I guess the sellers would clear around $72 000. That's roughly a 50% flip! Come on PP make us a non 175 Anniversary in 5575 so us mere mortals have a chance of wearing one!
