Just got it today. The watch itself is in great shape. The rolled gold is all there, minor scratches of course, but not dents, dings, or scrapes. The case back has a few scratches, but it is in good shape and crystal only has a few scratches as well.The movement is Elgin's American made 760 self winding movement with 30 jewels. The watch runs and it winds via movement and the rotor. Unfortunately, you can't wind with the crown. Genejockey alluded to this ailment on his blog, GeneJockey's Elgin Watch Blog: Technological Marvel, or Lemon?If I'm reading his advice correctly, he suggests just letting the rotor do the work. After eight hours, it is still running and right on time.For some reason, my iPhone makes it look like the hands and dial are dirty. Ordered my first Orient, a Multi-Eyes with black dial.
I noticed that there are two styles, one with a textured (don't know if it's technically guilloche or not) and one with a plain dial. Also, the bracelet is different, and the one with the textured dial looks like you could easily swap it out for leather, while the other does not. I ordered the textured dial. While I wait, does anybody want to taunt me with photos of their Orient, regardless of model?

I'm looking to acquire a pre-owned from a seller in EU.he's sent me all photos of the card and papers, and i noticed the warranty card does not have the AD stamp or date.he's telling the 'new' cards now require electronic (online) registration, and no longer have stamping by ADs.the watch, card and books all have consistent serial# stamps.can anyone verify if this is true?I'm just wondering how does AP verify purchase date (and therefore warranty expiration) if there's no paper trail (assuming no printed receipt from AD)?lastly, anyone know if JB Jewelers in Israel and UK is an AP AD?tks!

New shoes for my 5167
So my 5167 came on bracelet and I decided to order a rubber strap and deployant from HSWA. It took some fiddling, but I got is sized perfectly and left room for wrist expansion in warm weather.
