IWC IW371445 wrist watches news:
In this week's Bring A Loupe, we've got a wide range of incredibly rare vintage pieces – some of which are offered by dealers that are, more or less, "off the grid," but that I've encountered in my travels – and rare and special contemporary pieces from modern favorites Journe and Lange. Further, if you've been hunting a rare vintage chronograph, boy do we have some options for you today – think an Hermes-signed Universal, a mythical Heuer "Dark Lord," and a 1930's AP chrono in pink gold. This is your Bring A Loupe for May 22, 2015. Heuer Monaco "Dark Lord" PVD 1 OF 10 The indisputable king of the vintage Heuer world is the Heuer Monaco "Dark Lord," or, in other words, reference 740303 N – a manually wound, PVD-coated Monaco made for just one year (1974) in very few examples. Not only is this Monaco one of the rarest watches made by Heuer, it is also one of the very first to feature

Got bored one day so I started looking at my dials with a magnifying glass. Have a nice Tissot 516 auto from the mid 60's (judging from the shape of the case). It's gold plated (I think) with a SS back. It also has a date feature. Had it overhauled a few years ago and never before noticed the "Turler" on the dial. Tell me about this dial. I understand Turler was a store in Switzerland. Did they only deal in high end watches?? Does this dial add value to the watch????
How do find the year of manufacturing of a longines master collection watch? Urgent pls help.
Picked up a Planet Ocean 8900 yesterday. Had a Planet Ocean 8500 orange but flipped it about a year ago. Everything that was wrong with the 8500 has been fixed with the 8900. So far, I am loving it. It is very comfortable on the wrist. I am loving the new bracelet and clasp with the push button micro adjuster. Looks like it will probably give +/- 10mm of room. If you do need to throw it over a wetsuit, there's another diver extension you can open up. Although it's 16mm thick, it's balanced out very well at 43.5mm. My biggest dislike with the 8500 was that it was very top heavy at 42mm. Not the case here. Sorry for the poor iphone pics.
