IWC IW397202 wrist watches news:
I'm left-handed and I also prefer to wear a watch on my left wrist. That makes me somewhat unusual because the traditional "rule" when it comes to your wrist watch is that it goes on your non-dominant hand's wrist. So if I were like more people and followed the "rule," I would wear my watch on my right wrist because I am left-handed.So why don't I conform to the more typical orientation of wearing my watch on my non-dominant wrist? I don't actually know. I am pretty sure that I started wearing a watch from an extremely early age (perhaps 3 or 4years old) and no one was there to explain to me what wrist I should wear my watch on. What I probably did (as any young child does) is observe where most adults were wearing their watches ¨C and I followed suit.A recent e-mail from an watches-dealer reader (thanks Jonno) in Australia asked me if I knew anything about the history of wrist watches for lefties. I realized that I wasn't aware of any such "lefty watch" history, and assumed that for th
Does anyone know anything about this watch? Are they hard to come by? What do they sell for on secondary market?
I don't know...maybe I am just plain nuts, but when I saw this blue S-Wave on Overstock.com for $79.99, I felt I'd just buy it and give it a shot. Well, that started a chain reaction, especially when I discovered that there are many more dial colors. So then, I picked up the black dial, and the forest green dial. All along, I had wanted another Seiko style, something other than a Monster, Knight, a Seiko 5, or even another Orient. And so I caught the Wave. For me, these S-Waves are among the most comfortable watches I have ever worn, even rivaling the comfort of the Seiko Knight (that I always rant about). I believe that they weigh between 110-120 grams. The bracelet is very contoured, and wavy around the arm. I haven't seen any Seiko styled like this, especially not at this price point. The 7S26A (first introduced in 1996), powers this watch, and it has a funky cool rotor, not the standard one we see today. The S-Waves that I purchased were produced between 1997-1999. They are all NOS/B
I recently purchased 5167r from an AD, after years of being a firm Rolex fan.I was in my local AD and few weeks back enjoying a coffee and looking at a few PP pieces, one of which was a 5167A on a bracelet which tbh whilst I'd have gone for the strap version in a heartbeat, the bracelet did little for me and I'd rather not spend the extra ¡ê for the bracelet and then have to pay out again on the rubber strap and deployant clasp. I was considering it but... as we were discussing the store manager popped over to say hi and show me a 5167r they had taken in part exchange just that morning!I was hooked...Loved the dial colour and the chocolate brown strap of the R compared to the steel version.Over the course of the next day or so we struck the deal and after a trade and some cash I picked it up just before Christmas. The strap is taking some getting used to (mainly from the many years of wearing bracelets) Am also quite conscious of how flashy it looks being the R (but maybe thats just me)A
So I am on waiting list(s) for the 5167A-001. I have not been given any indication of how long it would take. I just know I am number 11 on one waiitng list at an AD.While calling various ADs in Switzerland to check availability, I was told that waiting time for the 5164A-001 is only 3 months. So now I am questionning myslef on upgrading or not although budegt is not the same. Is the 5164A-001 taht easy to get from an AD?I would prefer to buy my first PP from an AD to at least get my name on the watch certificate. From grey, 5167 can be available within 1 months with a 8% premium.
