IWC iw5242-02 wrist watches news:
Enjoy the review here my friends. In the meantime some of the shots.
So recently, I have been bitten by the Breitling bug. I've long considered Breitlings (in general) a bit garish, with many references being so large in diameter, many having large, blocky numbers/fonts, etc. But as time marches on, I find my opinion softening, and as of late, I find myself becoming more attracted to certain references. In particular, I am really gravitating towards the Navitimer and the Bentley 6.75. Generally speaking, I see plenty of love for the Navitimer, but not much so for the Bentley series of watches. Is there a reason for that? I suppose some find them a bit gimmicky, and to be honest, I could care less about the connection with the luxury car line - I simply enjoy the look of this model. Curious to know thoughts from the Breitling faithful and hopefully, owners of either reference.
My precious: Chronostop Gen¨¦ve ST 146.012/Cal 920. This Omega Chronostop is from 1969 (birth year), 41mm, and made for Italian market only. I got this one on my honeymoon trip to Vienna in 2005. I was there again recently and tried to find the shop (it was located close to the Opera) but unfortunately Time Fair is not on the market anymore. This Omega will never leave my collection. Please show your favorite Vintage Omega! p.s. Chronostop History and infos: .old-omegas/chronostop.html
I have a 1974 Omega Speedmaster that needs a full movement service due to some rust. It's not gunked up, but a few parts need to be replaced. We normally service Rolex but I prefer to send this one out to Omega. What Omega Service Center will accept this watch and not touch the dial or refinish it as I do not want it looking new. Any advice is much appreciated.
I'm on the hunt for my next watch. So far I've had a datejust 116234 but it was too small, a bluesey 16613 which I really liked but prefer the newer model, and a BLNR which I really liked but have an itch for two tone. My main issue is that I primarily wear gym shorts but I really enjoy a two tone watch. Is it strange to wear a two tone with gym shorts? If so, what is a good watch to wear? I've sold all my watches and I'm beginning to think my only solution is to have two watches as I may never be happy with just one. I'm currently eyeing a 116613 and 126331.
