I am quite proud to let you know that I will be the watch contributor writer on the brand new website for Centurion magazine called "Centurion Magazine Online." Centurion is an American Express publication, and is sent to Centurion card holders around the world. The new website, like the magazine is published and operated by Journal International. Formatted like a blog, the site will offer intelligent information on the best things available for the high-end consumer and lifestyle.
Took a dive into Ramon's deep sea treasure chest and came up with this...This is the midsized(38mm) 4205 automatic Seiko diver from June of 1993.It is 17 jewels; beats at 21,600bph and is hand windable. The watch has now been cleaned and put on a Citizen Jubilee bracelet which fits almost perfectly.Pictures of that to come...camera batteries are all on charge
I see some list resale value as an issue for purchase decisions and some don't. Until I started buying/selling/trading watches, I didn't think much about it either. I was never a big fan of Rolex until I owned a few and either made a few $$$, or broke even, which made me a major fan. I have a Rolex yacht master which has increased in value since purchase. So, when I look at watches these days, resale value/trade in value matters to me. Problem is, I have not found any brands that seem to retain their value as Rolex does. I have owned several Omega's for example, which are great watches for the $$$, but they didn't hold resale value when I decided I wanted to sell/trade. When dropping 4k,8k,10k, or more on a watch, I enjoy knowing should I want/need to sell it, it will hold it's value. So, my basic question is, are there brands that hold their value as Rolex does? If there is an ongoing thread on that issue to direct me too I missed, let me know.

Hope to be purchasing a 44mm ROO within the next 18 months, and already trying to narrow it down to which model.Tried a few on a few months ago and took a fit picture to see how it looks. Please let me know your opinion on whether it is too big/small etc.
