IWC IW325502 wrist watches news:
Hublot has announced the signing of one of the most prestigious agreements in its history. The brand will serve as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for the next two FIFA World Cup events in 2010 and 2014. This is the first time in FIFA World Cup history that a watchmaking brand will serve as the Official FIFA Timekeeper and have a presence on the substitution board. To commemorate this agreement, Hublot is unveiling the official licensed watch of the FIFA World Cup: a timepiece reflecting the gold of the coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy. The case, bezel and dial are fashioned from 5N pink gold, with a subtle tone-on-tone drawing of the prestigious FIFA World Cup Trophy at 6 o’clock. The Trophy is also engraved on the solid-gold caseback. The 45mm case houses an automatic-winding HUB1112 caliber. This Classic Fusion model is available in a series of just 100 numbered pieces with an MSRP of $29,500.Technical specifications appear below the images, which may be enlarged with a
This is an interesting article I did for Departures that I felt would be of interest to my aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer readers. It involves my wishes for 2012 (and slightly beyond) in terms of what I want the watch industry to focus on. Check it out here at the Departures International website.
Hi All,I'm new to WTF so I apologize if I'm asking this in the wrong forum.I picked up a hamilton self winder this weekend, and I am hoping to get a little bit more info about it.I found a few similar watches but the main difference is mine does not appear to be a 36000 bph movement. aside from that though, it seems identical to this HomageForum - View topic - Vintage Hamilton 36000 Pics and Mini Reviewand this oneVintage 1970's Hamilton 36000 Self Winding Watch - eBay (item 290461685567 end time Sep-05-10 16:48:49 PDT).Any information or thoughts anyone would care to give would be appreciated.
Seems buying watches are like waiting for buses, you spend ages waiting for one then two come along together. Having just made space in the watch box for an AP Jumbo, this has now arrived and so the fun continues. So what is it? Well it's a blue dialled Omega Aqua Terra, commonly referred to as the 'Skyfall' AT on account of it featuring in the Bond film of the same name (although the keen eyed amongst you will know that Daniel Craig wore the smaller 38.5mm version). The model reference 231.10.42.21.03.001 comes with 41.5mm diameter case and has the trademark vertically textured teak dial. It comes up a little bloated in terms of thickness, at 13mm, due to the in-house caliber 8500 movement. Saying that, however, it¡¯s still incredibly wearable and very comfortable on the wrist. A few more details: Movement: in-house caliber 8500 with co-axial escapementPower reserve: 60 hoursWater resistant: 150mSo is the Aqua Terra a sports or dress watch? In my opinion, it¡¯s both and neither. Quite f
