Invicta 14957 wrist watches news:
Some may remember me sending my favorite watch the Great White off to be serviced in early June.Got a call yesterday that the service is done and its no on the timer and should be ready to be shipped back to me either Friday or next Tues. But wait...it gets better...I asked in my letter if they could record the whole process digitally, well when she called yesterday she said "I have a whole CD of pictures of the servicing of your watch along with prints made up."(in case I scrap booked or wanted any to hang up?) She said they turned out quite well!So hopefully I'll have my old GMT back in good order again and pics to post for those who may be interested!I'm not sure if I'm more excited to be getting the watch back or more excited to be able to see it all apart. She said she would also include a list of any new parts and repairs. I know it was regulated and new gaskets put in and pressure tested.I'll keep you updated!
With only hours to go there are two clear leaders in the 2009 Hamilton Photo Contest. If you haven't already done so, please cast your vote here. Right now it's neck and neck. We should expect a photo finish.
Seems like everyone is rocking these thin steel or leather bracelets - or even the Lance Armstrong-type plastic stuff. The metal ones are SS, and some bracelets have gold touches. I like the feel of loose bracelets when it comes to these things, and I like that loose feeling in watch bracelets, too. Why not combine the idea?I find that my Rodania Swiss with the old school Kreisler gold-plated band is just thin enough and loose enough to flow with the concept. It might by a little pimpy for some, but I think of it as a Dr. John New Orleans 'homage.'
Dad left me his Seiko Sportsmatic 7625-8233 before he passed and it's being refurbished by Danny Candelaria in Phoenix.Newb question: While I know the watch is waterproof, I'm wondering how it's wound. Shake it a few times and go? Any details on the operation of the watch would be helpful, and much appreciated. I looked online but found repair manuals only. Thanks!
I¡¯m relatively new to the world of Patek and I think I¡¯m not a typical Patek client... rarely wear suits or shirts with cuffs, more t shirts or sleeves rolled up..I¡¯m normally comfortable in everything diver-like from Rolex..Recently bought a 5167R on a bit of a whim (it sang to me where the steel had not)Am waiting to try on a 5711 but I have a feeling it wont do much for me...The 5524 on the other hand I think is stunning... love the size, dial colour and design and the travel time features.Reminds me of my Pam only 100 times nicer...I was lucky to have had one in my hands on a couple of visits to my AD recently...The one I¡¯ve seen was reserved and so I couldn¡¯t buy it if I¡¯d wanted.. been told. I can have one in about 12-18 months...But it¡¯s way above my previous watch purchase costs and I¡¯m not getting VAT back etc.. so I¡¯m cautious to say the least at spending out on about the value of 6 ceramic subs for 1 PM watch..But I love how it looks and think it would suit my day to day st
