Chopard 27/8250-30 wrist watches news:
Former Romain Jerome CEO Yvan Arpa has joined New York-based Jacob & Co. as COO. During Arpa’s tenure at Romain Jerome, the brand produced some of the most provocative timepieces of the decade, including one made from pieces of the Titanic, another priced at $300,000 that did not tell the time, and the moon dust-laced “The Truth About Roswell”. Jacob & Co. is best known for large, colorful, jewel-encrusted watches often worn by celebrities and hip-hop stars. Below, RJ’s “The Truth About Roswell” and a classic Jacob & Co. five timezone watch. In 2006, Jacob & Co. ventured into haute horlogerie (courtesy of now-defunct BNB Concept) with the groundbreaking Quenttin watch, which featured a 31 day power reserve and a vertical tourbillon.Jacob & Co. is also known for its colorful namesake founder Jacob Arabo, born Yakov Arabov, better known as Jacob the Jeweler. In June, 2008, Arabo was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and fined
Watchtime magazine is sponsoring the dinner event with about ten companies bringing their new introductions from the shows this year. Pretty good value with dinner at the private Midwest club atop the Aon tower. Plus plenty of swag from the watch companies. Two years ago I went home with two grocery bags of gifts. Jeff Kingston has a powerpoint presentation of the highlights of the two watch shows and the latest trends. Charles Tearle from antiques road show will also be presenting. I will be traveling to Chicago for the event. Anybody else?Cheers !
I have a watch I am thinking of selling. I've gone to retail sites to see what it sells for now, and its' MUCH more than what I paid for it about 5 years ago. I'm sure the newer model has a different movement or maybe some other improvements to justify the price increase. I have a number in my head, but don't want to short myself. TIA
I have been thinking of making the switch on my ROO RG RC from the REALLY uncomfortable deployment for ages (like a year). Finally decided to switch after trying one of the new offshores and realising how much more comfortable it is with a tang buckle. So got a diver strap and and after market PVD buckle (the AP one's are crazy expensive especially in RG) and WOW what an improvement. Why did i wait so long !!!!!
Really, really like this watch. I think it's a great size for my wrist as well - what do you think?
