The IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar debuted this year at the SIHH, as one of the most talked-about introductions from IWC. It’s essentially a variation on the Portuguese Automatic, which launched as the reference 5001 in 2004 but which was preceded by the limited edition Portuguese Automatic 2000, which housed the now-legendary IWC caliber 5000, the forefather of an entire family of movements in the Portuguese/Portugieser line of watches. Constellation Leather Strap?
I have an old Constellation that I bought new in 1990 and never wear as I can't stand the flimsy little bracelet anymore. Anyone know if it is possible to replace the steel bracelet with a leather strap?Thanks in advance.

DJ 116201 date wheel color?
Hi,I saw and handled a new DJ TT (Yellow Gold) 116201 yesterday.Other than the fact that it was stunning with the black dial and "stick" markers / Gold, I noticed that the date wheel was an "off" white or ivory color?I don't think it was my eyes as the AD also confirmed that to be the case.It really worked well with the gold and black.I have recently seen pictures of other peoples Rose gold versions of this watch and the date wheel is clearly white, not off white or ivory. this IMHO does not work so well although the watch is still gorgeous!Can anyone advise me if this "ivory" or "off white" date wheel is standard on the TT/black dial DJ's or if not is it a simple thing to get one if I ask upon ordering the watch?Is it perhaps just on the YG versions and not the RG versions?Thanks.WT.

I tried out the alaska project....
I was in an AD the other day and he offered me a 3570.50 for $3050USD and the list was $4000USD. It also had the trasparent back on the watch. He also had the Alaska Project limited edition and said he'd let it go for $5300USD. It looks sssssso nice. My interest in either is lukewarm since I would have liked to get an LV soon. Thing is I think the Speedy Alaska may be a nice choice since getting it at a later time is probably not going to be easy to find etc. Also having one of 1970 pieces worldwide does have some allure.What do you guys think of the prices? I can probably even save the tax by paying cash...
