Afternoon, gents;I am currently doing a little research into some of my grandfathers' war memorabilia, and amongst those things were his pocket watch. I have been told the story of this watch by my grandmother, but I have no idea how to verify this information! The watch has NO makers mark or identification, simply 'BREGUET + 31328' (the 'plus' being the swiss symbol) on the movement, and the dial, too, has no mark.I wondered if anyone knew whom might have been the maker of this watch, or any insight at all into a similar one someone might be aware of?Any information or help would be most appreciated,Many thanks
Picked up this Bulova recently. Love the retro style and smooth second hand sweep. Lots of value for $300.I didn't like the factory bracelet so I'm using a WJean shark mesh. Gives me a reason to find a higher quality mesh for my Airman.
Have been browsing this forum for quite some times and have decided to post my latest purchase here for the very first time.Ladies and Gentlemen ! Azimuth 55mm B-UHR Original Luftwaffe Specification Limited EditionFirst of all, i was so attracted by the huge 55mm dial when i saw it at the Local AD.The watch is so original to the pilot watches during the World War II that they don't even put in any company logo's or name on the dial itself to retain it's orignation.I was so impressed by Azimuth !The watch fit nicely on my hand.Loving it!It comes with a Buffalo strap with white stitching and rivetsWearing my Rotary edition with the 55mm B-Uhr for comparison. i love both so much but i will be giving more wrist time for my 55mm B-Uhr.will rest my rotary for the time being;)Case back.look simple? Nah.. there is more for your excitement. It is a hunter case back with inner exhibition back, which you can see the rarerose gold modified Unitas 6497-1 in Cote de Geneve finishing with blue screws.
Hi guys,Am currently looking into getting a metal bracelet Nautilus. Went to AD today and tried on both SS and Bimetal Nautilus's and both pinched my wrist hairs in that short time trying them on. This is very disheartening as I like the practicalities of a metal bracelet and like the various guises of the Nautilus. However there is no way I will tolerate this pinching. It will drive me nuts. I had the same problem with an old Titanium Seamaster Omega which funny enough had a similar bracelet design to the Nautilus. Wound up getting rid of it. Rolex's on the other hand have never given me a problem. So the question is have any of you noticed this problem? I'm quite reluctant to pull the trigger as a result of this..
