Invicta 16701 wrist watches news:
Here's my '60s (i THINK) Seamaster Deville Auto. Haven't opened it to take any movement pics yet, but it will be off to my watch guy soon for service anyway. Runs well and keeps good time but I can feel it being scratchy when I wind it manually.Scored this baby for $100 on either timezone or PMWF (i forget which). Sorry for the crappy pics. . .took a bunch of junky pics with my buddy's iphone today. Only one that came out nice was one of my Father's Bulova.-James
All, I am looking at this watch on CL and i cannot tell from the pictures if it is real or not. Can anyone tell from the pictures if it is real? If not can anyone tell me any tell tell signs to look for that would make it known if it was a fake? In theory I could take it too a jeweler, but it would be a PITA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!***UPDATE***I ended up getting the watch and am very pleased with it! I took some rubbing compound and got all the surface scratches off and I think it cleaned up real nice. Many thanks for all the help and insight that came from the board. Below are some pics of the watch after I cleaned it up some.
If so please share a review of the Brand. Last week I went to see " the Wind Rises" and got interested in Hugo Junkers and am motivated to own one of my own. I do notice a range of calibre " miyota to Poljot to Eta". Why the wide range in sources? What is is comparable to?

This would be my first premium watch. Let's assume I decide NOT to buy a Rolex Sub and I go with Omega. That being said I am drawn to the Planet Ocean but also like the look of the Seamaster. I've always been a fan of Bond. I can certainly see it being fun to say we wear the same watch! I'm also drawn to the number 007 since my lucky number is seven because I was born 07/07/70 and weighed 7lbs 7 oz. You can see that 7 is important to me.OK on to the actual question.... If I decide to go with the Seamaster, specifically for the Bond model, which one is better?Choice 1: The actual watch worn in the movies, 300M 2220.80.00 with blue face.Choice 2: Limited edition model with 007 hands and 007 on the case with swirl Bond pattern on the face. Model 300M 2226.80.00.I don't plan to sell it in 5 years but you never know. Is the limited 007 model considered gimmicky in the watch underground or is it a special piece? I think its a nice looking watch and would be quite a conversation pie
