Invicta 13016 wrist watches news:
Bulgari introduced three new models in its iconic Bulgari Bulgari men’s watch collection at Baselworld 2013, including the line’s first chronograph and tourbillon timepieces. Each new watch contains a manufacture movement crafted in Bulgari’s ateliers in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Sentier, Switzerland. The Bulgari Bulgari made its debut in 1977, on the heels of the runaway success of the limited-edition Bulgari Roma, a digital watch that was given as a Christmas gift to Bulgari’s top 100 clients a few years earlier, in 1975, and that of another limited edition, issued in 1976, that was available only at the Bulgari boutique in Rome. (Bulgari has released a new, limited mechanical version of the Bulgari Roma, as part of the 2013 collection.)The inspiration for both the original Roma and the first Bulgari Bulgari was an ancient Roman coin on which the effigy of the emperor was encircled by engraved inscriptions. I know I'll be pointed in the direction of the OM. Don't get me wrong, I love the watch. However, I'm looking for something that is a bit more dressy. Unless, of course, you all think the OM/BM could pass as a dress watch if i managed to get a leather strap for it. I'm always down for used too. It needs to be an automatic. Love the simple looks of Nomos. Currently I'm on the B-uhr/pilot kick. Being a decent pilot is around $500 min, I don't currently have the money to swing one. I love german stuff, too. I've searched and searched, but am in need of a bit of direction. I know Germany watches tend to be on the pricey side, so I understand it may not be the most realistic option in my price range. Without further ado....
So my watch (<1 year old, still under warranty) was losing about 25 seconds per day, and it was driving me nuts. I stopped by the AP boutique in Beverly Hills, CA to have it sent in for adjustment. The sales associate informed me there was a $200 shipping charge (round trip) to have it overnight Fedex'd to Clearwater, FL. I'm trying to figure out if that's a normal charge? Given the watch is under warranty, I would have thought the $200 shipping charge is something AP would absorb. Thoughts?
I know this is a long shot given it's discontinued now, but is it possible to find a white 5980/1A new from an AD? Anyone have any leads they could send my way? Really love the piece but wife is adamant about AD only, so this one may be out unless an AD's got one in the safe somewhere. Many thanks in advance and apologies if asking for help finding one is taboo, please feel free to delete if so!
