- I purchased this watch for my boyfriend. It looks so much better than pictured. I was very happy with the watch overall and the price but it doesn't give you the date.

Hello everyone!I was recently browsing fleabay and I came across a seller that claims he is selling a new model for 2008 called the "KHAKI NAVY GMT" with a model number of 77585335. Since I was curious about this model, I went to Hamilton's website, to find nothing about this particular model. I actually think the watch looks pretty nice and I am very interested in it. So with that, I would like to get your guys' take on this watch and I'd like to know if this model shown here is actually a new model from Hamilton. Check it out and let me know what you guys think! Hopefully this hasn't been discussed yet.

WTF,I received a high grade Elgin movement today in the mail with a very odd serial number, 17596310. The Elgin database states that this is size 0s, grade 354, manufactured in 1913, with 15 jewels. Well, the database is wrong. It is in fact a size 3/0s not size 0s. Elgin did not start manufacturing size 3/0s until 1914 but all serial numbers for size 3/0s should have a serial number higher than 18,000,000. I own a few of the very first size 3/0s Elgins, they made about 2,000,000 of them. I have triple checked my numbers and all available resources for this strange serial number. I have even double checked the movement size with a micrometer, 27.94mm to be exact. All 3 places were the serial number is located on an Elgin reads 17596310, so all parts are the originals. So, where would be the next step to verify the grade and age of a serial number that is not suppose to exhist on a size 3/0s Elgin? Thanks in advance!
This is a model, in the AP line that is something of a love/hate model isn't it?Friends of mine seem to love it or hate it. I love the model, but since it is a model evoking strong emotions on both side of the +/- spectrum, I'm a bit afraid to take the plunge on one...Orange. It's a strong color no doubt. I've always liked the color orange, as do I like the color yellow. The brighter the better! Like on the FC Diver. Having a splash of color in you live is usually a good thing. Is the Volcano a slow seller? I'm getting a hint it may just be. And down the line if I regret it, it could be another expensive lesson! I guess some of my worries are ultimately down to, will I keep it.... Probably not forever, but I'm a bit afraid it may be a too in your face as something of a daily watch. I try and give equal wrist time to my watches, and right now I feel I'm at that point. No longer like when I still had the AP ROC in white gold that I sometimes didn't wear for months! Silly to keep a 25K (u
