Movado 606838 wrist watches news:
Hi, All...I just happened upon this forum and was pleased to see such a lot of vintage Hamilton fans! It is also nice to see The Dean, Ren¨¦ Rondeau, participating as well! I have been collecting Hamiltons since the early 1990s. In fact, my first was an electric from Ren¨¦, the "Victor". Ren¨¦ continues to be a great source of information (and watches) and I have learned a lot from him and his books.Hamilton watches truly had the finest movements of their day. I have a 1915 pocket watch from Hamilton that at the end of the day, hasn't lost a minute. At last count I am up to 77 pieces in my collection, with everything from an "Altair" to a "Wilshire". The "new" Hamiltons I have are re-issues and have been placeholders for the originals I hope to get somewhere along the line. Since I managed to get a really nice 1961 "Flight II" this week, I am going to put my quartz re-issue of it up on eBay soon. Now if I can only swing a 1928 "Piping Rock", his quartz nephew will be seeing eBay
If it's not his verve and witt, it's his love for Citizen Eco-Drives, and top tier Seikos and Orients; or it's a combination of both!I have been here since 2008, am a WTF Veteran now, and I have seen people come and go, but few have had an impact on WTF as MINI/Frank has had. Thanks for being a big part of our community!Your friend,Angelo
So this will probably be quite a challenge......I've been eyeing the watch that one of our suppliers at work wears and I need to know what it is. The problem is that I haven't gotten a close enough look to identify it and haven't gotten a chance to ask about it. I don't get the impression that he's much of a watch fan....Anyway, here's all the details that I've observed.I'm hoping that someone can help me figure out what it issweeping second handshort tail on the end of the second hand has a round ballarabic numerals 1-11 with a triangle at 12 o'clock on the dial no real bezel per se3 handblack dialmatte stainless steel or possibly Ti? case and braceletcrystal appears to be domed slightlycase appears to be relatively thinroughly 40mm wide casedial is fairly plain crown has some design on it but I've not been able to identify itthe case doesn't project around the crown at allany ideas?ThanksBryan
Hey all,I recently purchased an AP ROC 26320st with the black dial. I'd like to know if it's possible to swap my black dial, with the factory white dial. Could I send the watch to AP and have them make this swamp? Would experts on this forum discourage this? I can't see how this would bring the value of my piece down, as the 26320st is a universal ref # for both black and white dials. Other than cost, are there any negative side effects' to swapping on these dials? Thanks,BostonRolexIG: pcakes508
