Invicta 15890 wrist watches news:
My name's Joe and I joined this site after seeing John's very informative and interesting RolexReference page.I was particularly impressed by the recent article comparing the 116613 and the 16613.I have a special request for John or anyone else who might be willing. I know that the new two tone Subs and GMTs are using solid gold, while the previous models used hollow links (excluding end links.)I am trying to determine exactly how much of a difference in gold there is between the old bracelets and the new ones. This would be fairly easy to obtain for anyone who owns any ceramic two tone and its predecessor. If someone who owns both watches removes the bracelet from the case, and removes the clasp from the bracelet, then determines the difference in weight between these two bracelets, we will know exactly how much extra gold we're getting in the upgraded bracelets. This is something that I'm extremely curious to know. If anyone who could do this would be willing to, many many thanks on be
I've only been into watches for about a year, so I decided to drop by the Beginner's forum and ask a noob question. Is there a reasonably priced way to insure a watch or a small collection of watches? Obviously the rates would be all over the place, but what would be a rough estimate of the yearly cost to insure a $6000 Rolex? From what I've read, costs can be about $500/year, is this accurate?
A black-faced Tianjin (which I bought mainly because I love the dial) with a very plain back and containing a Dongfeng movement. I'd love to know what the "J" under "JonghuoTianjin" means.I have no certain idea of the age (educated guess early- mid70s), but Dongfeng ceased in 1973 becoming Sea-Gull, although a number of transitional Sea-Gulls also carried Dongfeng movements and Dongfeng and Sea-Gull are Tianjin products. I checked for a date code but where I expected a date code it looks more like a characterbut it's under the wheel and I can't get a good shot of it.
