Dievas MG-1: Weird but Wonderful?
Some things are just so odd that despite an initial negative reaction they become appealing. They look strange and might not make total sense conceptually, but like the VW Type 181, aka the Thing, they get under your skin, and eventually you just like it. That's basically what has happened with me over the last few days and the newly released Dievas MG-1. At first glance, I thought, ugh, another oversized diver. Then, a little while later, I felt an urge to go back and look at it again, perhaps to confirm what I had seen. Did it really lack a bezel? Was the bezel really that wide? what color was that dial again? The more I looked, the more I got pulled in.Dievas is a curious brand that we've written about a few times on w&w, but not in a couple of years. German made, but Singapore owned, they are a mix of homages and rugged tactical watches at fair, but not cheap prices. In the tradition of other German-made tool watch brands like Sinn and Damasko, Dievas cases are often CNC milled

Planet ocean or Chronodiver ?
Please help...I visited the omega AD a week ago and really thinking of 2201.50 or chrono diver black dial , the guy let me tried them on my wrist i have never had any omega before, but these seamasters really bothers my sleep :D any coments on pros and cons ? i know its really personal preference but I really appreciate your comment and suggestions on these two..the guy at the AD comment the PO as the most popular and the latest technology in watchmaking but he also comment that the chrono diver although an old model but it does looks "diver" please help

Looking for my first Swiss
So I am really new to the watch world but have been bitten by the bug! I have a modest collection currently but I am already looking for a my next purchase. I have 8 yr old citizens chrono, Orient 60th Aniv, Orient Mako XL, and I have pre-ordered a LumTec M51. I am considering purchasing another Lum Tec to wear until my M51 comes in but since I am so new to the watch world I want to try as many different brands as possible. I would like something under $1000 if possible. Right now I have been considering a Tissot as my first Swiss. However, I am open to most styles anything from dress to sport so I am willing to consider any suggestions. Thanks!

Damn you Jumbo; Why must you wear so large!!
Hands down one of my favourite designs ever!The blue dial on this specific model, with the legendary AP bracelet, the legendary movement, this watch is the perfect all rounder for me, but I just simply can't stand the way it wears on my wrist.Subtle, but still a nice presence due to the bracelet and case design.The last picture is the only one wear it looks acceptable; I think it is the angle on the pic honestly.The rest show what I mean about the stiff lugs, preventing the watch from resting on my puny wrists!!

ROO dilemma - Diver for Panda?
Looking for some opinions. Would you trade a Diver on bracelet for a Panda on bracelet? A little backstory -- I've been wanting a Panda since it came out. It's just during the last few months that I grew the cajones to spend money on an AP. I bought the Diver a few weeks ago and added a bracelet. I got it to basically test out the Roo line as I wasnt sure I could live with the size for everyday wear. I figured it would wear almost the same as the chrono and it was a good deal at that time. Grew to love the Diver, but a potential trade for a Panda is possible. So would you guys do it? Unfortunately, I can't have both and saving up and waiting isn't an option (have other responsibilities as the wife says )
