Invicta 17042 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Magnus Michelsen (MM): I¡®m the brother, son, grandson and great-grandson of watchmakers. Although I¡®m not a watchmaker myself, I've grown up admiring and working with watches. I am the Marketing Director of the Icelandic micro-brand Michelsen, the country¡®s oldest watch firm.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?MM: I¡®ve craved for a few watches, most of them relatively simple, like the blinged edition of Rolex GMT-Master II (116759SARU) and some Tags with Calibre S or Calibre 17 movements. My first real grail watch is the A. Lange & S?hne Datograph.ABTW: What did you like so much about the watch?MM: It¡®s simply a spectacular watch. The movement is so extraordinary beautiful. The brand itself is nothing less than
They also made a special reference 6152 with back of exhibition which included a Rolex movement and the lever now famous Panerai Crown guard, which was originally designed for officers of the Navy.
:):)a day or two since the last 2254 sighting...here's something a friend asked me,"describe that watch to me".. he wanted me to tell him what it looked like..describe every detail. my old friend is without sight and he wanted to "feel" what I felt when I look at my favorite dive watch. I tried but think I came up woefully short..can you describe in detail your favorite Omega and capture your love for it in the description, just like the recipient had never "seen" one?give it a try folks, pleasediver88:):)
Hello Folks,First post after a while lurking. After i promissed myself that I would not buy another "luxury" watch, here I am again. I sold off my daytona a few years ago. This time I am going for a dress watch. I am interested in the several candidates...Cartier Santos XL Chrono, Dubey & Schaldenbrand Aerochrono, and the TAG Grand Carrera GMT. I am partial to the Dubey. Here is my difficulty.1. I know nothing of the Dubey brand2. Can't really find retailers info that are not online.3. I really like the Cartier but the price tag is less bang for the buck.I will be using this watch as a going out watch 70% and a Everyday carry 30%.What are your thoughts? Thanks
Dear All,does anyone know anything at all about this brand? For those who, like me, don't know what am I speaking about, their site is Botta-Design - Produktgestaltung, Produktentwicklung und DesigneruhrenThey seem to have reasonable prices for their automatic watches (around 700,- Euros for a ETA 2824-2) but their site contains a lot of cheesy stuff, like the sentence that their watches are "Assembled by hand in traditional workshops in the Black Forest", I don't know what to think...GLF
