Invicta 18508 wrist watches news:
This year at BaselWorld, Blancpain followed up last year's Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe (HODINKEE "A Week On The Wrist" review here) with a chronograph in a similar form. That's cool and all, but to me the most interesting aspect of this watch is not the available fully ceramic case, or the NATO with ridiculously hardcore hardware, or the general sleekness of the end product. Nay – the most interesting part of this new Bathyscaphe is actually what's inside. This is the first Blancpain to feature the brand new caliber F385, which is a ground-up new concept for them and a fairly impressive new development that doesn't seem to have gotten a lot of attention. That's about to change. 2 OF 24 First, the details of the watch. Sized at 43mm and available in either full ceramic or satin-brushed stainless steel, the chronograph is 300m water resistant and holds on to many of the design traits seen in last year's time-only Bathyscaphe. Good day to all ...I'm usually to be found in "another place" but, whilst having the pleasure of dining with John Holbrook at the New York GTG last week, suavely persuasive fellow that he is, he introduced me to Watchtalk.I see some familiar faces have preceded me (Leo, Larry, Otto for starters) and, who knows, more may follow. Either way, it's nice to be here and I look forwarded to contributing from time to time. Here's JBHII with a couple of his new recruits in the foreground ...
Sorry for the iPhone pictures! I saw two of my grail watches! SD Comex! tried one on fit perfect! Wow! They were asking 110k. So I put my GMT II-C back on and thought to myself, at least I saw and tried one on! Cars were awesome too!
I'm not a fan of watches with much in the way of complications, and I'm really not a fan of the whole moonphase thing. But, I'm in San Francisco visiting friends this week, and my buddy let me try on his IWC.Oh.My.God.Far out of my price range but, man, this was nice...
Hi everyoneI have this watch: It is a Chopard Mille MigliaI am about to get this watch IWC XVI: I really like the IWC, it is so simple...I kinda want to sell the Chopard which is used and has a replaced chrono hand. I would like some other 'watch people' s opinion...I know it is a personal preference, but I think I will sell my Chopard once I get the IWC, my other friend who is a watch guy thinks I am crazy, he says the Chopard is way nicer...I really don't knowwhat are your opinions?
