This U-Boat Seamaster comes with a bevy of features. It has an adjustable clasp band, made from the finest stainless steel. The watch face and hands are all hand placed, for the accurate timing the Swiss are famous for. The dial window is made of reinforced glass, and has an anti-reflective coating. Since this was made for boaters, it also has a level of water resistance.

New arrival: Cushion with special Fluckiger dial
My fourth Cushion Form (not counting the very first Hamilton which I bought in my fledgling days on eBay in 1998, and which I sold some time ago), this just arrived today. It is in very nice original condition (except for newer glass crystal), and sports the special #05 raised gold numerals and inlaid enamel dial manufactured for Hamilton by Fluckiger of Switzerland. It dates to 1929 by the movement SN. Many thanks to Tom Diss for the copy of the original dial diagram, which I've included here (and some may have seen before). Gents,Excited to announce the arrival of my latest. 5711 blue, I know, snore. I had the white dial last year which I ended up flipping to fund another piece. I knew I ultimately had to own a 5711 so for once I practiced a bit of patience and phoned my AD to place a deposit. I was like 3rd in line and waited about 6 months. The dial is a real beauty - stating the obvious. It's just more dynamic than the white. I'll overlook the date surround just to gaze at the dial. I've also owned the 15202 - that dial can't standup either IMHO. Enjoy some pics

Platinum or Rose?
Hi all,So my adventure continues. As I was advised early on, I am trying to get the nicest example of a PP that I really like (not one that I only think is going to hold the most value...though it would still be nice since I know the day to sell will come). Problem is that I'm going to have a very difficult time deciding between the 5055, 5035, & 5024 (i know the 5024 is an odd third choice here but I was always a fan of a modern looking gondolo from PP). What I'd like your opinions on, since my two favorite tones are silver (so the G or P) and the rose gold, is which do you think is a smarter purchase? I ask this because I'm starting to see some P examples in the same price range as G or R.
