Identify vintage Omega, 37 mm
Dear forum members,I recently bought an Omega, which I think looks great. Though I suspect not all parts (or even few) are original. It is 37 mm, and the dial is rounded towards the edges. Was it maybe originally a pocket watch?It would be nice to know more about the watch. Could you give me some ideas based on these images? Help identifying This Admiral
I'd appreciate your help in helping to evaluate this watch. It was my father's, and I believe he would have got it in the early 1960's, though it's possible he got it in the late 50's. It's obviosuly an Admiral, but there are no clearing markings on the back, other than the type of wrench needed to remove the bezel.I've looked on eBay and other sites, including this one, hoping that I could date the watch based on the face markings (even numbers only - odd numbers represented by non-numeric marks).I've looked on the bezel and band, expecting to see markings indicating the gold content, to no avail. Perhaps my eyes are too weak.Any help on pinpointing age/model number and guesstimates of value would be appreciated. Is this a good price for 15400ST?
Hello everyone,I got a Rolex recently. But started looking into AP recently. Love the simplicity and the design. I am looking at 15400ST with the blue dial or white dial. I can get white dial for about $17000 after all the discount and taxes. The blue dial would be about $17800. Not much discount on the blue dial. Both dials are amazing. Has that interesting shine to it. And the bracelet- it is just amazing!The price is from the AP boutique for a brand new piece. Is this a reasonable price? Do AP offer any discount? On Rolex it is common to get some discount depending on the model. But the AP time pieces are completely new to me.Looking at chrono24 the piece I am looking at, is priced at 20-24 k. I am a bit confused. Would be glad if someone can direct me. Thanks a lot.
