Invicta 10373 wrist watches news:
When Hamilton was more than Just a Wristwatch . . .In an effort to move mail more quickly, Assistant Postmaster General Otto Praeger instituted the first regularly scheduled airmail service in the world. It took just 200 minutes for a letter to travel from New York to Washington DC., fast by the standards of the time. Today, mail is more commonly sent via cyber "airway" - email, and it arrives at its destination almost instantly. Times have certainly changed. When the first regularly scheduled airmail service was established, the pilots were military officers and they carried with them two instruments to fly by - a compass and a wristwatch. Both instruments were necessary for what was commonly known as "dead-reckoning" flying. Pilots would quip at the time: ¡°With "dead-reckoning," if you "reckon" wrong, you're dead.¡± And that almost came to pass.On May 15th 1918, airmail¡¯s inaugural flight, two pilots were set to leave at the same time - one from Washington DC, heading toward New
Two weeks ago my 9 year old saw a watch she liked at REI- a PVD Timex Expedition. We've made a couple of trips back and each time she has pointed out "her" watch. (and the fact that it was on clearance...smart girl!). So today we pulled the trigger on her first big kid watch!!! She was really excited to have a watch she can wear swimming and that looks cool like her favorite out of my collection- my Luminox 3001. (which she was wearing all morning until I surprised her with the trip to REI). So without further ado....Wristshot...And with Dad's OM...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So today I got super glue on my rotating bezel on my ocean ghost. It won't turn and is fixed solid (long story) does anyone know what I should do? Besides hang my head in shame and sit in the corner?
I bought my 3570.50 brand new in 1998 and the serial number 4835xxxxx confirms this. It's not clear to me from the otherwise excellent web sites out there though if my watch has the gold plated 861 movement, or the later rhodium plated 1861 movement. Does anyone here know ?
Hi guys Bought the 590 recently. I'm winding it around 60 times but it's only lasting for a couple of days? As its an 8 day this doesn't seem right. I've just wound it more to see if that makes any difference. It's my first PAM and AD posted it to me so didn't ask any questions.Any ideas? Cheers
