New York City’s iconic railroad hub, Grand Central Terminal, reaches its Centennial in 2013, and now Ball Watch, a brand indelibly linked to the history of railroading, is releasing a commemorative timepiece specially suited to the Big Apple’s homesick travelers and expats: the Engineer Master II GCT, whose second-time-zone function uses Grand Central Time (GCT) rather than the traditional Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Click below for pictures and pricing. The watch, limited to 999 pieces, is in a 44-mm, stainless steel case and contains an automatic movement, Ball Caliber 651. It is available on a stainless steel bracelet or calf leather strap with a pin buckle, and features 15 self-powered micro gas tubes ¡ª a hallmark of the Ball brand ¡ª on the dial and hands, which offer outstanding luminosity in darkness. The crowning technical touch is the second-time-zone function, on a subdial at 6 o’clock, which displays Grand Central Time (that is, the local time in New York City&

Hi guys,I played around with my speedy pro and tested its timekeeping precision based on resting position. For anyone looking to speed up or slow down your speedy, I figured this could be helpful. My testing methodology: The watch was fully wound and then timed against the Time.gov atomic clock at exactly 12:00 pm each day. The watch was then left to rest in the given position below, untouched, for exactly 24 hours until 12:00 pm the following day when I timed it against Time.gov again. This was done for three days in each position, with the watch being fully wound before each subsequent timing. It is important to note that the timing was exactly the same for all three positions on each of the three days (very accurate movement). Below are my results.Dial up: + 2 seconds Dian down: - 4.5 secondsCrown up: + 12 secondsCrown down: + 4 seconds Hopefully this is helpful for anyone trying to self regulate their speedy pro!!!
