Bertolucci Giro Chronograph Watches Have A Freaky Face
It is entirely possible that my warped mind sees watches differently than other people do. Over the course of my writing about Bertolucci watches, they have always looked interesting, but a bit strange to me. I finally connected a few of the things that some of their common Chronograph models remind of me. Maybe you agree? You can tell that these watches are all part of the same family. Some or all are Bertoluccia Giro (All-Black Giro see here), and some are just called Bertolucci Quartz Chronograph watches. No matter the name, they each have large, gaping mouths. Why? I couldn't tell you. Though here are some of the possible design influences. My favorite is near the bottom of course. Each is highly disturbing in its own way. Original Speedy Pro best Lemania movement
The 321 Lemania was first used by Omega in 1941. It was originally designed to be the best chronograph yet in a very compact 27mm size. It was used by many fine watch producers including Patek until recently. Its small size advantage was wasted in the moon watch, but its performance beat all that competed for performance and durability. I have proved this quality myself by buying for $40. at estate sale a gold cased Lemania marked Chronometer that looked good but not working. No evidence of any past service work. Fully wound for how many years? Noticed a jammed lever, carefully freed, 3 days later it was still running and all functions registering accurately on the fine scales. $368. to a fine local watchmaker after probably 60 years made it right.7 position adjusted is 5 running time only, 2 as chronograph. Omega made a couple limited specialschronometer rated with this mvnt. but most were not, and even fewer by Lemania.

Documentary needs photos of your 1970s quartz watches
I'm working on a documentary about the process of making a chronograph watch. As part of the documentary, the popularity of quartz watches in the 1970s-1980s will be discussed. I would like some assistance from Watch Talk Forums members with this documentary. I specifically need to gather at least a dozen high-quality photographs of quartz wrist watches (e.g., Seiko, Citizen) that were manufactured in the 1970s. I'm hoping that many of you collect these kinds of watches and would be willing to photograph them, particularly the battery. I just got mail from Simon Malls that the King of Prussia Mall Omega boutique has been open. I'll go check it out probably next weekend.

Size of each wrist
I wonder which is the regular wrist limit to go from 34/36 mm to 39/41 mm in the classic Rolex¡äs watches ?6 inches ? 6,5 inches ? 7 inches ? more ? no limit ?
