Hi all,I am a newb here, and have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me out with. I am a member of other forums in different interest areas, and I have always found them the best source of information! I have wanted a Seamaster for a long time, and am finally doing my actual research before I take the plunge After trying to read and decypher the model number translation charts, I finally went to the Omega website and clicked on what I wanted - turned out to be a 2220.80I want to do things the right way, and would love info on the following questions if possible:1. Where to purchase?I know that ideally a purchase would be made from a local authorized dealer for the full factory warranty, etc. I have also noticed places like Amazon that sell this model as well for what I assume is a pretty aggressive price, and they offer a 2-year warranty through them since they are not authorized. ....my wife surprised me today with an early Christmas present!! I've been itching for a new piece of art, in particular some sort of photograph. So my wife really blew me away today when she presented me with a vintage rock photograph of my favorite band - signed by the photographer!Any idea who these blokes are?? That's the original Pink Floyd at their very first photoshoot, taken by Colin Prime near Denmark Hill in South London, 1967. (If you're a die hard fan and own Nick Mason's book, Inside Out, the same photo appears on page 64. )From left to right: Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Rick Wright, Roger Waters.It's sentimental as well as we have been living in London for a year now, and there is a lot of this "look" sported around our neck of the woods (Islington/Shoreditch/Hoxton). So the photo doesn't look vintage at all really! In any event, it totally made my day, that's for sure!! Cheers

The Appeal of Royal Oak Offshore 42mm's
What is going on with the ROO's, in terms of the 42mm's? This is not a flame thread or me bashing on 42's, but in general it seems as if the 42mm is losing its appeal and prices are being driven downwards. Personally, I am still very passionate about certain models, but a lot of the 42mm off shores look almost outdated to me. Does anyone feel this way as well or am I alone here? Side note: My (very orange) 44 Novelty is on the way and I've been living in this subsection of the forum
