Invicta 0900 wrist watches news:
For years, Swatch Group focused Mido's efforts primarily on Latin America and Asia, two regions where the brand has done exceptionally well. Unfortunately, the brand doesn’t share the same awareness in the States, which I've always found strange given the size of Tissot's (also a Swatch Group brand) American presence. That’s about to change. We learned this year that Swatch Group is now making a concentrated effort to push the brand in America. For lovers of well-priced, solidly-made wristwatches, this is exciting news.Last month we introduced the Baroncelli Heritage, a vintage-inspired extension of Mido's mainstay Baroncelli range. Handsome, classically styled with enough of a twist, and surprisingly tempered in size, the Baroncelli Heritage looked like an obvious win for the brand. And though Mido's marketing team focused primarily on the thinness of the watch (an impressive 6.95mm), I was more taken with its aesthetics. For Baselworld, Mido released an additional two var
Now I'm just waiting for the new bezel insert I ordered.......
Good Morning All,Here's one I bought ~25 years ago. I don't really want to put it on eBay, it should really go to a collector of America's heritage I think, but of course a lot depends on the value.Serial is 19246070, case is 18K, 15 jewels, has A Timmermans 1 Aug '20 engraved inside. It was bought in Belgium, Timmermans is a Belgian name.More pictures:ham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0802.JPGham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0803.JPGham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0804.JPGham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0805.JPGham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0810.JPGham-radio.ch/kits/sdr-rad...h/IMG_0806.JPGSo is it worth anything (gold is not too cheap these days), what should I do with it?Also can anyone tell me anything about it?
When the United States went to war in 1917, the Army turned to Hamilton for its timekeeping needs. Accurate time was crucial for military operations, and the Hamilton railroad watch became the standard for the American Expeditionary Forces. Approximately 1,000 Hamilton pocket watches were purchased by the Corps of Engineers for the supervision of railroad operations in France. The USACE museum artifact collection (located at the Humphreys Engineer Center) possesses one such Hamilton pocket watch. Interestingly, it is not marked ”°Engineer Corps U.S.A.”± as directed in the procurement documents. Rather, the dial is simply marked ”°Hamilton”± as were the civilian models. However, the watch is inscribed on the reverse ”°4 World War 1917-1919”± and includes the engineer castle.Source: Office of History-US Army Corps of Engineers
